I have the 171. It’s forgiving and fun for lazy cruising, messing around with ankle steering and when I ride with a hangover.

Thanks Angry another great review it’s very helpful to know about all these boards coming out. Amping here in NZ on our hill we’ve had another 40cm and still snowing when it clears we are in thanks again 🤙

I rode this board for 1 season and ended up selling it. Review is very accurate, board does vibrate on high speed and spring isn't very good. But it has esceptionally great handling and wide width. If you a widefoot beginner and looking for 1 quiver board - this is it. You can do carving, freeride and some freestyle with stance moved closer to nose. But if you progress in your riding - you will want to change magnum to more specialized board (or two). For example i switched to lib tech stump ape for freeride/powder cruising and donek park twin for freestyle/all-mnt riding

you are right on with this one! I love this deck, feels smaller than it is and the power pods work. great wide deck that can carve, i get plenty aggressive with it and it works great, but ya not a full on ripper deck at all!

I really love this board. The review makes it sound a bit basic but I don't think that's what the reviewer was going for. It's a good and solid board that does carves and powder really well. Even at speed. You'll love how "chill" it can be. Some people think it's boring that it makes things so easy but hey, everybody wants something else. I enjoy riding this thing and not having to struggle too much in the 7 to 12/14 days a year im enjoying the mountain. It's not so much designed for park but I guess you can do some jumps with it. The thing is there are better boards that are better at park. When I feel like jibbing etc I take another board but in general I ride this one.

@@AngrySnowboarder Thank, yeah, I feel my skunk ape 170W is just too much of a beast. I bought the Lib Tech Double Dip "James Johnson" 163, James is my friend from Juneau, AK! But it's on the small side for me, but it does pop more and swing edge to edge much smoother, but I struggled in powder compared to my Skunk. So I'm in the market for a 165-167 wider board.

I'm in that place where nearly every board I think I might 'need' is similar to one of the others I already have. I have the Skunk ape II now thinking that for pow days (I might hate the reverse camber) and looking for a daily driver. Guy in Méribel, France had this in store it's impressive girth was impressive, but I hadn't expected it to be so... Basic in your review. I'm looking for something stiffer, aggressive all mountain, twin or twinish I like to carve switch a lot. Got an unridden 163 Dump Truck here with about 3cm of heel hang, always been something else I had to ride but as long as I don't euro on heel could be alright. 258 waist, tapered it's pretty silly level of overhang.
