PodrumKaleto I agree that having the engine in the back and not showing anything is a bit of a letdown, but some of the best cars ever made don’t show their engine too. And not having to work on the car and obtaining this level of performance is a plus in my book. I love older 911 and other cars but lots of people don’t like being to the mechanic very often or using the car sparsely. It’s not a family car, taking it out once/twice a week and having to worry about the car isn’t a sacrifice may people are going to make.

had a chance to drive this in several models (2S, 4S) around a track and it's just a spectacular car to drive. It feels glued to the asphalt and the interior and exterior design is just such a nice improvement over the 991 models, even the 2019.

Well, Doug used to work for Porsche...

Great show ! Dougs cupholder-show ! The TV-set has a soundbar and the car has a light bar, I need a chocolate bar ! I love the tiny details, the riffled touchfield on every button and switch ! Very nice color, I would order pink ! 😘🚀⭐️

those door handles are a fine example of German overcomplification.... also he said as soon as you put your hand under the door handle it pops out... yet it still took a second for the handle to flap open...

I saw a 911 about 2 or 3 years ago and I couldn't believe my eyes, it was gorgeous! Then I saw an Aventador stopped at toll booth and I started screaming then literally fainted, I was riding next to my father and he freaked out when he saw me loosing consciousness and nearly had a high speed accident! I'll never forget those days.

I just took delivery of a 2023 992 in manual (F PDK). My first 911 was a new 1988 in 1988 with many more to follow and for sure this new iteration is more of a touring car as Doug says. It's very smooth and imposing.

It looks exactly like the early 80's so cool

I was significantly considering getting an Audi S-Class or a Mercedes SL-Class or something, but once I watched this it inspired me to go test drive one of these. Now I'm very much considering this over one of the others.

This car, with no wing and monochromatic green, is the first Porsche I’ve seen in a long, long time that gives me the same feeling as asking your parents to buy you a Hotwheels car when you’re walking through KB Toys in 1982.

They do these for quite some time now and they turned out to be quite reliable actually

Damn it looks so smooth

Hey Doug, the front marker/side turn signal in the front is essentially the same as the 991.1 (I have one). All you end up doing is ordering a European factory turn signal from one of the dealerships. Takes 10 seconds to swap out and you're good to go. The LED is orange so the colors are all correct when they are activated.

Same with my 997.2 and I believe the 997.1. Orange light inside, clear in the daytime.
