Fun fact: Around the 90s, the bishounen character art style started gaining popularity in shoujo manga, to the point that even shounen series began to adopt it, a lot of shounen series before leaned towards jacked muscle men. You can see this shift if you look at Jojo's, as the art style changes drastically between parts 3 and 4. Trunks would have first appeared in 1991, which also makes me think Toriyama decided to lean more bishounen when he designed him. And that's why Trunks is such a pretty boy among the cast.

Broly was so into princess trunk the moment he said he kill frieza

Broly went from beta male to alpha male real quick...and that got trunks scared just as quick.

Also when goku first met trunks he says what a nice young lady

I like the implication that Sayain marriage was more of a "ok were married now" type of thing. I wonder if Vegeta tried that with Bulma.
