thats probably due to mixture of different things.. 1 being because gohan trained him, 2 he's half human so the need for his opponent to be as strong as possible isn't there.. he actually doesn't even know thats a saiyan trait yet. he was never around to see Goku and Vegeta do that, 3 in his time he can't afford to risk letting anyone get stronger. it has to be straight to the point. just like he did cell and the androids when he got home lol

It was a reasonable thought. Frieza is supposed to be a planet killer. How the hell does one cut through a border-line god with a run-of-the-mill sword, even taking super-saiyan into account. It was a cool scene, but the sword should have been about as useful as a play-doh knife.

I love how Trunks shows no mercy to them. He's such a professional. Fast and clean.

Trunks would make a great assassin.

From the moment we first see Future Trunks his guard is always up. That's what makes him stand apart from the other heroes, he never lets ego or a quest for power get in the way. He is the truest of all the heroes of Dragon Ball. Always ready and never risks getting surprised.

I love the villains in this show got straight up fucking murdered at times.

Better being a planet than a solar system,imagine you get about 10 planets and 1 sun in that solar system and as roler you gonna have to monitored those planets in case of rebellion not metion the resources would have to be monitored so that each planet lives well(if one of thw planets starts dying because of your rolling it would incoke a bigger rebellion) while a single planet is better to monitored plus if resources start to run down(or entertainment or sexual slaves for your pleasure)you just had to ask king cold.

Right? Judging by how it was stated that he was stronger than Frieza already, imagine if he actually still had transformations under his belt. Considering how big the power jumps were when Frieza transformed, King Cold would likely be as strong as the androids after one transformation and as strong as Android 16 after two transformations. Dude I remember seeing this saga on TV as a kid and it was such a rollercoaster. First we see an episode that ends with Frieza coming to Earth with his father, who's a fucking GIANT. So I thought "holy fuck everyone's screwed". Then Trunks shows up and just annihilates these two without any effort. Also, sure this scene is badass still, but back then, we had no idea who the fuck Trunks even was. To us he was just some purple haired weirdo who came outta nowhere and was stronger than anything we'd ever seen. It was fucking nuts.

Vegeta would had been so proud if he knew there in there that the Super Saiyan from the future was his son. Also the fact that it was his son who finally destroyed Frieza.

His pleading for his life in the original dub us far more Hilarious. He blames Freiza and says he's innocent 😂😂😂

I don't think Cold can transform like Freeza can. Toriyama called Freeza a mutant of his race so it seems like transformations are what make his unique.

What u mean? Super Saiyans are the only thing that could stand up to Frieza and his forces. You gotta realize that Super Saiyans are not "normal". They're beings of legend. Kind of like how we have our Hercules, Thor, Ares etc. Trunks is also from a future far away.

With the exception of Beerus & Whis and Majin Buu they were pretty much the most powerful beings in the universe by default. They never actually had to try before Super Saiyans were a thing.

I love how the sword got bigger than trunks when cold got it 😂

This is why Future Trunks is one of my favorite characters, he doesn't bullshit around, if a threat must be eliminated, he eliminates it without second thought. Not like Goku trying to entertain himself at the expense of other's security or Vegeta taking pleasure humiliating his opponents and feeding his ego

I know it's an old comment. But u think the reason why he was revealed was just to prove how powerful Trunks is.

It's so interesting going back to watch this. You can tell he's the same voice actor for Lord Beerus.

Wow! It's good to know that even in the face of death, King Cold doesn't lose his cool... Get it? I just made a stupid pun.

I wonder what it'd be like if Trunks took Cold's offer. He would just kill Cold later and then rule the entire military they built up. Many soldiers under Frieza and Cold, while doing bad things, were mostly doing it out of fear of being destroyed or having their worlds blown up. Trunks could command literal legions of troops, he and the family would be wealthy and the military could be used for a force for good, and help give them an advantage in future conflicts.
