    @@nikoontrack1173 Nein absolut nicht!!! p.S. hab gerade das Model S Plaid livestream Event angeschaut! Ich glaub bei der Rakete hätten die zwei Amg´s nur noch Rücklichter gesehen und die auch nicht lange 😂😂 Freu mich schon auf die ersten Auslieferungen in Europa. Das Teil wird bruta 🚀l.. und der Beifahrer kann dabei noch gemütlich auf PS 5 level zocken, falls er den die G-Kräfte aushält

    @@lifestyle4dividends776 Ja vor allem die Leistungskurve vom Plaid .. 1000PS von 100-322kmh ... das ist beim Model 3 Perf. leider noch nicht so, ab 150kmh wirds schon etwas weniger, aber macht trotzdem sehr viel Spaß so schon ;-) PS: Dein Benutzername gefällt mir sehr :-P

    Nice - vor allem mit so einem doch schon relativ niedrigen SoC... Und dann noch mit der Serieneinstellung und den Pirelli. :o Mein M3P war ein anderes Auto, nachdem lediglich das Eibach Pro Kit vom AT Zimmermann verbaut und eingestellt wurde. Werte trotzdem noch auf die EBC Yellowstuff...

    Der AMG wir in 20 Jahren immer noch funktionieren wie heute und der Tesla ist bei dieser Nutzung in ein paar Jahren Schrott (Batterie).

    So as far as I understood... Original brake discs and pads. And regen on. No issues with brake vanishing? Have you been not too hard on the brakes or do you think the regen helps massively to preserve the discs and pads integrity? Thanks in advance for you answer and by the way very clean lap, well done!

    Hey, thank you! Yes everything stock on this run. Regen on 100% to preserve brake pads from overheating, I am trying with lift and coast to prevent the brakes further but when I brake it is hard but short.

    Hi Lukas, danke dir. Sind die Serien Brembo Bremsen. Auf der Nordschleife reichen die vollkommen aus, da ich auch 100% rekuperiere, also über die motorenbremsen energie zurückgewinne. Macht richtig spaß so zu fahren. Nur Schmutzfänger vorne mussten ab, da die in Fuchsröhre und Tiergarten schleiften

    and it could do more than 1 lap un modified. The model S Plaid cant even beat an M5 around the Nurgurgring with modifications let alone complete 2 or 3 laps.

    @@mark21034 Bold statement. Besides that: A M5 can't do two or three hot laps - it will pull back timings and overheat the brakes. About the time of a Plaid vs M5: The Plaid will absolutely smoke the M5. It did around 7:15 two years ago while in early development and I doubt it got much slower since then.

    @@IschChef no mate, LOL over heat the brakes? are you on drugs? M5 comp 7:35 nurburgring, S plaid 7:42 and that was unnoficial and modified with 1000hp. Keep trying, add another motor and stick to the drag track.

    @@mark21034 You're right, the M5 C was faster although the times were a little bit different with M5 7:29, Plaid 7:35 and the 7:42 was the Porsche Taycan Turbo. But what do you mean with modified with 1000Hp? The Plaid has stock 1020Hp.... M5 could overheat the Brakes when it does multiple rounds.... don't know how many the Bmw can take but I often read of Sportcar tests, especially from Audi RS Models, where they do like 3 Rounds on Sachsenring which is, all in all, not even 12km so about half of Nordschleife, and the Brakes went weak and died....

    Hi, thanks. The car is totaly stock. I only removed the front mud flaps because they touched the ground in compression zones (tiergarten and fuchsröhre). Brakes are fine for Nordschleife if 100% recuperation in track mode is used!

    @@nikoontrack1173 That’s pretty incredible that your M3P is stock other than mud flaps removed. The car handled much better than other videos I’ve seen and your battery temp comes on much later than others as well. Keep up with the great videos, I’m hoping to get a M3P in the near future!

    @@h46it_G thank you. Will do some laps in a week and show that car is stock as well at beginning and show my track mode setup. On 20°C right at the end of 1 lap the battery turns orange/red. In the video with Audi TT Tracktool it was colder (around 10°C) there i did 1,5 laps until battery left green zone. I use 100% regen, if i turn this down to 20% it should take even longer but i like the efficiency a lot. But i try a lot of times to be cautious with total lift of accelerator pedal to keep car in balance in corners. I noticed that there had been a function to overclock the air condition compressor to cool down the battery on other model 3 performance cars. But mine (refresh model) does not have this check box anymore, maybe they changed with heatpump the cooling procedure. Habe a lot of fun with your M3P.

    @@nikoontrack1173 I can’t wait to see more laps! That’s really good how long you go in the track till your battery starts to change colours! I’ll have to rewatch your TT chase video! Looks like you have done many laps at the Nurburgring you have some good car control on stock suspension! I’ve heard people saying about oveclocking to have better cooling, but you could be right as it’s the previous M3P. Have you seen the guys in North America running M3P with 305 tread width? I would love to see what your car with suspension and tires can do!

    Wenn es denn das Plaid+ geben wird... Aber auch mit dem Plaid hat der AMG keine Chance mehr. Erst recht mit dem Fahrer, der das Ding in diesem Video bewegt :-) Ich meine - da fehlt einfach nur etwas Übung - bitte nicht falsch verstehen.

    @@mopymopedson5825 Ja die beiden AMGs können viel schneller. Es war ihr erster Stint in diesem Jahr. Dafür haben sie aber auch deutlich mehr Leistung als der Tesla. 770PS hat der C63, die fahren mir auf den Geraden auch richtig heftig weg wie man sieht. Da würde ein Model S Plaid helfen ;-) Hoffe ich seh die beiden nochmal am Ring dieses Jahr, hat Spaß gemacht :-)

    Na ja eine Runde gemüdlich über die Nordschleife und am ende is der Accu platt mach das mal im Renntempo da schaffst mit dem Elektroschrott nicht mal eine Runde schmeiß weg den Müll.

    wenn man keine Ahnung hat sollte man die Klappe halten. Der Akku hält 3-4 Turns. Im übrigen brauchte mein Ringtool mit 380 PS auf dem Lausitzring 56 Liter auf 100 km. Sprich da kam ich auch nur ca. 110 km weit dann war er leer. Soweit liegen heutige eAutos und Verbrenner auf dem Track gar nicht mehr auseinander. Nur der Unterschied ist, das das Model 3 auf einen Turn ca 3,60 Euro Strom verbraucht und ein Verbrenner mit ca. gleicher Leistung zieht ca. 15 Euro Super auf einem Turn durch. Rechnet man dann noch den zig mal höherem Verschleiss Motor, Getriebe ein, sieht ein Verbrenner einfach nur alt aus.

    You need 100% on battery when you start. At least on my m3p 2021 I loose power when the batteries starts to drop belove 60-70%

    Thanks, usually I start with 80-85% but i will give it a try with close to 100% next time. Luckily superchargers are at the Nürburgring 😎

    It’s only the 2021 model 3’s Panasonic batteries. Bjorn did testing because the 2021 LR model 3 maintains acceleration strength all the way down to the 20% line

    Exactly! With my 400+ hp 5 zylinder turbo ICE engine I was able to do (at roughly same lap times) 4 laps with 60 liters of fuel, so theoretical the Tesla could do 1 more lap.

For Comparison: The maximum allowed fuel consumption of an LMP1 race car at Le Mans is 37l/100km. GT3 Race cars run with 12-13l per lap (~60l/100km) at the Ring during an endurance race. Big difference to heavy traffic during "Touristenfahrten".

    @@mpauls85 Yes, thats no joke and the car was technically 100% fine. The engine was running a little bit richer than stock (lambda 0,8 instead of lambda 1) to cool the engine more, but I have a lot of friends at the ring who have similar fuel consumption. 40-100 liters/100km is completely normal, depends on power and weight of the cars. It is not like driving fast on the highway as you destroy the engery under braking and than reaccalerating again. Back in February 2019 1 liter Super Plus (98 octane) costed 1,4€ and Apex told in this video they needed 16€ per Lap Nordschleife fuel costs, this comes to ~60 liters/100 Kilometers as a lapt touristenfahrten is close to 20km --> 16/1,4= 11,4 liters per Lap. 11,4/20*100=57 liters /100km. Source: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iICVtcuRnaanaZc.html#t=11m27s And a colleague with a 718 Cayman GT4 can drive also 4 laps only with a 64 liter gas tank, so uses exactly the same as my old 5 zylinder did. No one has holes in the tank luckily ;-) So I think the difference to your LMP1 cars and GT3 race cars is due to weight and better efficiency (as my 5 zylinder was tuned from 300 to 400+ hp).

    The guy driving the Tesla appears to pick better lines through the corners than the guy in the yellow MB. The dark car in front of the yellow car seems to faster. Not sure how much HP the Tesla has but I’m guessing the two cars ahead have more, they’re able to pull better at higher speeds. Listening to this is unsettling in that there isn’t any engine or exhaust noise to help translate the speed at which you’re traveling at. A Plaid would be scary because it’s a heck of a lot faster than this one and w/o noise, you could easily overcook it in the corners.

    Hey, also wenn du die Rekuperation (dass er automatisch bremst wenn du vom Gas gehst) auf 0% im Track Modus stellst schafft er 2 volle runden am Stück bei normalen Temperaturen, bis so 25 grad ohne dass die Batterie heiß wird. Ich fahre meist mit 80-100% Rekuperation um die Bremsen zu schonen und den Akku lädt es ja auch wieder auf, damit geht genau 1 Runde bei so 20-25 grad und gegen Ende wird die Batterie warm, nimmt aber noch keine Leistung weg. Wenn man dann immer weiter fährt bis der Akku rot wird, nimmt er Leistung weg, die Beschleunigung ist dann immer noch genau 1:1 wie bei nem BMW E46 M3, er sollte dann also noch ca. 350PS haben.

    @@bernhard.k Ja, wenn du voll fährst müsste man da andere Beläge drauf packen (Endless zB). Aber die Nordschleife ist ja zum Glück sehr bremsen freundlich, auf den GrandPrix Strecken am Ring oder in Spa wird die Bremse sogar mit Reku richtig heiß. Toll ist halt dass das automatische Nachkühlen auch eine indirekte Bremsenkühlung vorne ist, die ganze warme Luft aus dem Akku wird durch die Bremsscheiben rausgeblasen. Mit Reku 20% kann man toll 2 Runden Nordschleife fahren und die Serienbremse hält durch. Aber man muss da natürlich sauber und mit Köpfchen fahren, also immer kurz hart bremsen und nicht durch die ganze Kurve die Bremse leicht schleifen, sonst wird das alles veil zu schnell zu warm.

There's literally hundreds of track runs of Model 3 P's posting lap times that are up there or better than M3's, M4's, Caymans etc, etc, etc and "a wide variety of sports cars" besides. How the hell are people missing these? Is it deliberate? Do they refuse to log them to memory? Also, pretty sure Randy Pobst smashed the Laguna Seca EV record in a Model S very recently. Second fastest run ever, behind only a *EFFING £1m+ SENNA* by a half second, and ahead of a whole "wide variety of sports cars" into the bargain (including every other Mclaren on the market). Anyway, back to the original point: Track racing guy makes a KZread video telling us (and showing us) how surprisingly good his Model 3P is on track, and comments section guy makes comment "shows you the Tesla is not for a track".. Crazy, crazy stuff.

    Hey, the AMGs are not stock, so they pulling away on the straight even I go full throttle. You can see that one of the AMG drivers commented below this video (oxygenC63) and see his 770HP build. Very impressive. And I like that they are taking these cars to the track and not only driving on the motorway. But no chance to catch them on a straight with 250hp less.

    Ummm.. I might be wrong but even a stock GTS is faster than a Model 3 performance. If you just look at the registered quarter mile it is obvious. And at very high speed it gets worse for a Model 3 according to my track experience. But I have to say, you are a good driver, nice handling man good job

Just wanted to point out that M3P and AMG GTs are totaly different types of cars. An BMW M4 vs. GTs would have the same outcome. Thanks for your nice feedback.     Hey, normaly I do 3-5 mins cooldown after a lap and than you are not running with hot battery the next lap. But even if you do this the power gets limited to roughly 350hp (because acceleration is equal to BMW E46 M3s then) and I think this protects the battery from damage. Same for rear motor which is cooled. Its a Performance model with track mode, I think Tesla knew what clients will do to it as they give a 8 year warranty on that (motors and battery). But would be nice to have an information on that from a Tesla developer

    That tesla only got one lap and that battery was toasty hot . It would never do 3 laps unlike the amg it would go until the tyres got to hot or it ran out of fuel . Teslas go fast but not for long .

    Hi Peter, it is possible to do 3-4 laps conescutive. But you are right, with limited power, it is still as fast as a BMW E36M3 of my friend with maximum limited power, so it should put out still 350hp+. As the two AMGs are heavily tuned (close to 800HP) their oil temperature also would not allow them to do more consecutive laps. But a stock AMG GTS of course could do a couple of laps at higher speed, that´s for sure.

    Pppl never understand this ... just wait till we get new breakthroughs in cooling batterys: Also, I would never compare a midsize sedan to a true sportscar like the AMG GT, it is a different class of car also in development ... If you want to be fast for more than 2 rounds you also need better breakes, tires and so on, I think the time on 1-2 laps for an EV is absolutely impressive and you need atleast an ICE with around 400 HP to match this and the tesla costs around 60k, compare this to prices of an RS3, RS4, M3, M4 or anything else in this range.@@ButterNutter37

    Hi, the both AMGs are far from stock. The grey c63s amg infront of the GTS e1 has 770 horsepower. He also commented under this video (user oxygenC63), you can have a look on this channel. They do 60-120 mph in 5.x seconds. I only had chance to keep up to them in the corners. Weight distrubution and center on gravity are absolutely amazing. But I think the AMGs could have been a lot faster in the corners if the drivers are more used to the track. Nontheless the Tesla M3P is a beast for a fully stock car and family sedane.

    Look at the track records. The AMG was just cruising around the track, not bothering with apexes or racing lines. The Tesla wouldn't have had a chance of keeping up if the AMG driver had been half as serious as the Tesla driver. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Tesla owner and fan, but let's be honest.

    Hi Paulo, the red indication maybe sugest that the car is done but this is just a graphical output. But yes the power is reduced, to ~400hp at this time (as I still can keep up with E46M3s which are 400kg lighter and have 343hp). The new Tesla Model S Plaid no longer have this limitation issues, and soon this will be also be true for Model 3 I think (with 4680 cells). And a stock ICE car also runs into temperature issues (oil temperature) but it is not shown in the car so drastically ;-) They also reduce power if you push hard, especially the turbo engines. My old 2,5 liter 5 zylinder 420hp Turbo with external oil cooler still did it in 2nd or 3rd lap. But I like ICE engines too, but they have more or less the same issues. You need to upgrade brake pads, cooling etc.

    Yes, usually you can do 1 full lap and right at the end the battery gets hot. I use 100% regen, if you reduce it to 20% you can do ~ 1,5 laps consecutive until the battery gets hot

    Because it is more fun with friends. But I did also laps alone in the past. The difference is around 7-8 seconds a lap

    Yes, the both AMGs are much faster. One of them has 770hp, so no wonder they can pull away so hard. I like it :-) Dont think Tesla would have a chance in a 0-60 drag race against them as 250hp are missing

    can't even beat a model 3. imagine with the new roadster which is a real race car made from tesla. NO COMPETITION!!!

    Yeah, because of traffic. The Tesladriver even states that in the comments. The Model 3 can't compare with the Amgs.

    If the Mercedes has a couple of fuel jugs in his trailer, he can stop for five minutes and fuel up.

    And if the tesla has a supercharger right at the track entrance, he can just plug it in for 5min and recharge.
