Lovely fish Mark, even if it wasn't the desired species! We have had an extraordinarily dry autumn here and all our ponds are rapidly drying up - lots of dead fish 😪 Great to see another video!

Haha Snerper! I was lucky to land her to be fair. Family are okay thanks for asking, brothers got an enlarged prostrate unfortunately which is being kept an eye on. Mums okay. Dad could be better as he is struggling being bed bound at times in a care home :(. Hope you are keeping well too and maybe getting out for some fishing?

Great fish mate! Definitely over my pb congrats. I've always found though if you let them stay deep in the swim instead of steering them away it stirs everything up and then the fish come in! Hope you don't mind me giving advice great vid lived it!😊

Problem is Stewart, that swim is one big shallow slope until the main drop off. Once you're playing them in, it's 2 foot deep lol. So sadly no deep water until you're past the tree.

Hi Mark, another great vlog, you catch some lovely Tench. Really interested in the Shimano STC rod, would you say the latest versions are suitable, worried that the handle maybe too short. I noted that yours had a handle section that screwed on. I like to travel light and seeing you travel on a bike and have everything you need is great.

Yeh i mean that is something to think about with the newer version and I dont understand why they did that. However that said I use the newer version for ledger and float work if i am having to pack very light, but do agree the longer butt on the older STC rods is preferable.
