I appreciate all fish, I purposefully fished for two years to get one! Had multiple pb carp not by design. I then caught a cat and all I can do I catch them exclusively, I haven't seen a carp since, lol

Hey man You don't have to travel to the Ebro in Spain or the Po in Italy to fish for big catfish (catfish). If you ever feel like traveling to southern Germany, I would like to invite you. Here on the Rhine (on the German side [where I live] and on the French side) you can target huge catfish of almost 100 kg or catfish over 2 meters long. It's only 15 minutes by car from here to France and there are also big catfish in the canals there, but carp fishing on the countless canals is very popular there and of course the fish population is just as good. Wild scaly carp in the canal in the current of 10 kg give much more gas than carp in lakes or ponds. About 1.5 hours from here you can fish for wild brown and rainbow trout in the French mountains in beautiful surroundings and crystal-clear water. As I said, you are very welcome. The best time is summer and especially night fishing for carp and catfish. And sometimes when carp fishing in the Rhine you can catch huge catfish that fight extremely hard in the current or directly from the boat targeting catfish vertically or with artificial lures. Catfish can also be caught by belly boat in small canals in France, where the banks are completely overgrown, even on sight with surface lures or in places where they like to stand, such as fallen trees lying in the water. Catfish are really omnivorous and also active hunters. In Spain, I have seen catfish grabbing and eating pigeons that were drinking on sandbanks on the shore. Depending on where you live hawkhurst fish farm's main lake is probably one of the best catfish waters around for if you want to give it another go.

Congrats on the thirty plus pike mate. Just watched your wels vid good quality contet. My go to early season catfish bait is 4/5 lobworms popped up a foot to 18" with a 15-20mm cork ball, not totally catfish selectived but a winner early season. Cheers brad

Excellent I love catfish great swop from pike !!! Good luck Lee I hope you get a big one !! I usually wait till the weather warms up first before I target them on floats with snap lights at nite great fun !!! Ever thought of catfishing the river Po in Italy?? It has the best catfish in the world better than Ebro ???

Thats catfishing for ya. Up n down weather not assisting. Saw a pure white catfish once fins flared suspended in crystal clear water...it was a thing of magnificance . Catfish a stones throw across from notre dam Paris Tower bridge london...hmmmm

You need to go to Jimmys lakes in Essex if you want cats
