    The time gap (story-wise) between Tekken 2 and 3 mixed up the roster when it comes to classic characters, but in Tekken 5 they realized people want them back, so they decided to do so without caring about them all being 60-70 years old when it comes to the story. For the women they needed an excuse (because they have to look beautiful and youthful), like Nina and Anna being "frozen" and thus not aging. Just make Jun come out of some random healing tree where she's been for half a century or however long it is now from T2. It's not like the story hasn't already been ridiculous for decades IRL...

    My God, I was playing Tekken 3 just recently and although he is a strong as hell character in this game, one combo from Jin in Tekken 3 could do upwards of 96 damage, with the max I've seen being 106 but I wouldn't be surprised if he could do even more than that. (By the way the combo itself has great mix-up variety and is safe on block because of its pushback, ridiculous that a combo that does so much damage with so little execution is also safe on block.)

    Heihachi didn't have the best electric. The electric version won't come out of a forward dash or wavedash, you will just get regular wgf. I remember back then people were doing wave, tap back, ewgf pretty smoothly with Hei, but it was still a huge setback. Jin's ewgf was a high but still by far the better move because you could dash it. The added range allowed Jin to completely control the spacing.

    Actually, you cant tag the electric. Buffered tag turns it into normal WGF. Go ahead, set a dummy on guard and tagbuffer every EWGF. You wont get any. Also, EWGF doesnt give that huge pushback on crouch guard, only normal WGF does.

  • @coveringgrape5251

    @coveringgrape5251

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yeah to add to what this guy said I spent 2 hours practicing and here’s what I found. Jin electric is a high. The EWGF has the plus frames and pushback but is a high. Tag buffering it turns it into a mid but on block it doesn’t have the plus frames (becomes like normal WGF frames but has the electric animation). You can sometimes tag buffer a normal WGF into a mid as well and it doesn’t have the electric animation as expected. Heihachi WGF is a mid. Normal has the minus frames on standing block. EWGF has the pushback and plus frames on standing block. Crouch block is where it gets interesting. Since it’s a special mid it does get blocked but pushes them back as mainman demonstrated and the frames are neutral it feels (or maybe plus, but definitely not minus). But if you EWGF a crouching opponent it does the opposite of a standing one and it does not push them back very far, still gives you the plus frames or neutral, and has the electricity animation. So it seems for crouching opponents doing an electric is better since it keeps you close for more pressure. But if you stuff it up and miss the electric you push them back super far and might be neutral frames anyways. So for the opponent it’s better for them never to duck electric from heihachi, since you’re only chance of punishing it is a missed electric (normal WGF) that you standing block. Everything else is safe!

  • @cank2111

    @cank2111

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@coveringgrape5251 and even if you block a WGF you basicly only lose your turn cuz none then Devil can really punish it, also heihachis Electric can also tech catch in this game, since you cant do it from a dash you have to do EWGF into cd1,4, only does 55 dmg but they right next to you and if they tech you can do a timed electric and catch them, do this combo again and they in a devestating loop of guessing, also b2 is a really good tech catch since the electric is not easy, b2 also unparryable. Also his 2nd and 3rd low of the hellsweep is safe, TMM didnt research well but who will know this stuff if you dont test it, since it was so early there isnt alot on the internet about Tag1.

    Hehachi is a monster, one of my fav and mains. you missed some moves like: 1+2. POG he is a pounding machine. But can find himself powerless vs some heroes. Like Nina. you don't take into account Reversal-attack skill. and as you said, most of hehachi power is high and mid, there for Nina can eat him up alive. Also, most players don't just stand and block, but also throw hits themselves. so nothing is really save if you accidently tried it at the wrong time vs Paul death-fist LUL. hehachi also have law HP cos of his high dmg output. he is like Brian's lvl of power imo Very very strong and fun. i would terrorize people with him LUL

    Heihachi had a true mid EWGF in Tekken 3 though. Also when your talking about balance and overpowered stuff you should look at it in the context of the series up to that point. Just a few finer points that he doesn’t know or just forgot to mention. Heihachi cannot wavedash into his ewgf, it can only be done from a single crouch dash. F4 can be done from cd but unlike in Tekken 7 you have to cancel the cd ie f,n,d,d/f,b,f4. You can’t go straight from cd to f4 you’ll always get standing 4 if you do. Actually no, Heihachi unlike Jin can’t wavedash into electric nor can he dash electric. His ewgf has to be done from a single cd, no dash, he can however ss into electric. Fire up Tag1 and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Mainman makes it sound like hei’s electric is the best in the game, but Jin’s is still better bc you can wavedash electric and dash electric.

    wish you played tag for a week or two against someone good before doing this series. you're right about the ewgf, but you're leaving out SS was massive in the game. getting around electrics wasn't close to impossible in tag. you left out qcf2 or ch hunting with 4. b1 was used more than b2 since it didn't end the pressure or create all that space on counter. also b2, former 10string only move, isn't able to be countered or parried.
