@Tango Zulu Yes it is. But before purchasing any imported Chinese phone, make sure that it has the 4g and 5g frequencies your US carrier uses. I ended up ordering the P40 Pro Plus because it has a very good range of frequencies.

I have a Huawei P9 Pro. Using GPS Test App with only Beidou selected on the satellite filter, I could NOT detect any Beidou satellite. I am in the southern hemisphere. What am I doing wrong?

I can't find beidou in the testing apps 😞 it was only russian, japan n usa 😓

@@user-rw6mv4dw4l All Chinese brand phones could download Beidou. When I was in China, I was impressed with the Beidou's system as it guided the taxi drivers via shortest routes. In Singapore, the GPS always used the longest routes (since I know Singapore's roads very well but still used GPS sometimes).

My Oneplus support it. I know it for yrs. It’s a hardware issue. not software.

But how do you use the Beidou messaging services?

I'm in Singapore. When I use GPS tracking App, US' GPS are locked first within seconds, while Beidou satellites took 3-4 minutes. Any reason? And how to improve on that?

my phone is 100% chinese so. I got that feature.

I'm doomed... Verizon gave me buy-one-get-one free deal so I got myself an iPhone & gave the free one to my daughter...the whole family are now on iPhone...so sometimes free can be expensive.

For general use it's 5-10m but the one reserved for its military has accuracy to 10 cm.
