Good evening mate. Tell yah what you get some absolutely incredible camera shots. I wouldn't be comfortable sleeping in a busy hut I'd definitely rather sleep somewhere like you two ended up doing. Gotta love the pesky sandflies 😂.

One of only two places where we had to deal with them on the North Island

I just watched a David Attenborough Nature Doco about the migration of Reindeer across the Arctic circle and how they avoid the dreaded swarms of sandflies ... they bolt for higher ground. Create your own pathway and stay at altitude. You'll be right!
