Good morning mate..I feel like I just had a sneak peak ahead of time been I'm still watching from the start lol. I hope you have a beautiful week ahead. It looks like it's going to be double digits in the Kgs. It's definitely really interesting getting to see what your set up was like. Much love mate

Well done you just went over 1,000 subscribers 😁. Off to get rubber tips for my Leki poles, thanks for the tip (no pun intended) otherwise it would be as bad as the round bale of hay joke 👍.

Great to see the after gear video part 1 Kurt. "Believe it or not !!!" You can buy darn tough socks at The Warehouse in NZ 🙂

@@tomjarvis8592 thanks for that Tom. Looks like your right. I assumed if it was the same name it was legit. How can they do that ?? I bought 3 pairs 🤣

The socks from the warehouse are called "Darn Tough" . The one's from USA are called "Darn Tough Vermont". But people just call them Darn tough.

Thanks for the info both of you. Yeah, name brands can get confusing at times. I’ve just ordered a couple of new pair off of Amazon.

As someone from NZ, no you can't find Darn Tough here in NZ :( Unless you wanna pay $60-70 + shipping for one pair of socks

I just ordered 2 pair plus a water filter from Amazon and got free shipping. Expensive socks, but they do last a long time. I’ll keep trialling socks here in NZ and when I find ones I like better, I’ll definitely change. I do like buying local when I can.

I have enjoyed all your videos. I am interested in the light foam pad that you have..where did you get it from please. I would love a pad like that.

I bought the one I use from Gossamer Gear in the States. The shipping cost is pretty frustrating but I had family coming over so they brought it with them. Before that, I bought a very thin piece of foam at Pararubber and used that for a few trips. It rolled up instead of folding, and it was more than double the weight at 241 gms, but a fraction of the cost.

Hi Kurt, did you have the same shoe size for the full hike or did you need to go up a size?

I had the same size. I usually wear size 12 but all my hiking shoes were size 13. That gave room for my feet to swell on the long, hot days.
