Richie's reaction to the spiders was almost as funny as his encounters with electric fences!

Great video 😂 I was laughing at Richie and shuddering at the spiders 😂.. The bridge to nowhere is so cool.

One of the things I find interesting about that Bridge to Nowhere is that it was built completely by hand. All the concrete boxing, reinforcing steel and concrete mixing - all done manually. Quite a feat I reckon especially considering that it rises nearly 40 metres above the stream!

I did not know that. Makes the story all that much sadder.

Can see the risks to water levels in the upper and middle reaches, of the high flood line where the bush is so much higher than the river level. A constant reminder of why, and how quickly the river can rise, as it is fed from the rains, tributaries, and waterfalls, and all that water has to squeeze through the canyons. I wouldn't have wanted the company of those spiders. Those stowaways are not needed. Now they are so far from home. Poor things. 😢

You could see where the river had been MUCH higher. Gave us the respect for the power of weather and water

Certainly not when it comes to large spiders in a canoe!
