I saw the movie and had no idea the real Chris kyle was dead, It got to that last scene and then it comes up Chris Kyle was killed that day by a veteran he was trying to help. My heart sank and I was devastated, all those lives he saved all the evil he took out this world only to be killed in his own country by a guy who he was helping R.I.P Legend Chris Kyle.

+TEXAS PRIDE187 I live in Texas, 277 miles from Odessa right now, where Chris Kyle is from, I respect his service, however the one thing I dislike about Kyle is that he defamed Ventura. That I don't go for, what a shame, two proud men who served their country and a fellow navy seal has to go defame another navy seal. How dare he!

dittonprime Chris Kyle was a sniper. It was his job. He was trained for it. He was equipped for it. That's what he was assigned to do. By all reports, he did his job well. That made him a skilled sniper. By all reports he enjoyed his job. That gave him job satisfaction. Being a good sniper isn't what soiled his reputation. Lying about comments made by another veteran, and doing it in a most egregious way, is what ruined his reputation. No matter what you personally feel about Chris Kyle or Jesse Ventura, the fact remains that CK made false statements about JV, himself a Veteran and a long-time member and supporter of the SEAL community. If CK were really a man of integrity and honor, he would have shown repect for an older Veteran who was also a member of the same community of Veterans as himself. Even if that older Veteran was a wacko dingbat. Instead, he chose to fabricate a story which slandered his comrade in arms, and repeat it several times in the national media. I'll give CK credit for being a good sniper. I'll not consider him an honorable man, though.

It's hilarious to see how bad you are in battle; no matter on what battlefield it takes place; or conflict; or budget; or interests that are involved......Oh Lord you people are no warriors. That's why you're supporting terror actions. Attacking civilians by surprise is the only moment of public attention you'll ever get....... only to become infamous shameful loosers. It's no surprise you oppress, confine or hide your women! When they have a chance to leave you impotent freaks, they jump in our arms... So just go back to your fantasies of humping corpses; because you won't find many sex partners who are actually still alive and willing... By no means will it make your comments brighter; but it always help to show some good will after being so insulting & disrespectful for a widow & single mom. For your own good (self-preservation) you must know that your words can easily be interpreted as an intense request to the silent hunters! Babbling your nonsense may be translated as follows: "Hey hunters! I am game!" .... I had heard about Chris Kyle by accident, watching a Linkin Park video "Castle of Glass", and after it was over there was something that started playing about a funeral at Cowboy's stadium. It was moving to watch the reception and respect that soldier was receiving, and then there was a picture of him and his name was Chris Kyle. I was curious, so I come to find out that he sadly passed roughly a year prior to me seeing that video, and that he was a Navy Seal sniper that was killed by someone who he was trying to help. I never heard of him until then, but still got choked up over his loss, because of how honorable he was. When I saw American Sniper... I couldn't help but cry at the end...it was soooo so sad. So many lives he saved at war, and so many demons he fought when he came home. To Mrs. Kyle, I'm sorry for your loss😢

You know, I watch this and I genuinely feel badly for his widow. The problem is, though, that she never had to be mourning his loss in the first place. This war in Iraq was, is, and always will be unnecessary and a tragedy for the Iraqi people and also for the American soldiers that blindly believe the propaganda that was handed down to them by their government. This was never really a war to fight terrorism, because Iraq had nothing to do with the events of 9-11, nor did any other sovereign nation. Yet, the war goes on and on for what? For corporate profits. Broadcasts like this definitely sway people to the side of his widow, which is understandable. It still doesn't make what he fought for to be right. It's all a damned shame. Support our troops - bring them home now!!!

Great post!! He definitely was fighting the bad guys though. These war torn areas like Afghanistan n Iraq are a breeding ground for terrorist. Taliban/al Qaeda and now ISIS... • @jerry3579

fightrrrrr Thanks for your reply, and for your compliment. Whatever those areas are doing, they are not a direct threat to the U.S. (e.g. an attack like Pearl Harbor). We need to stay out of their affairs until/unless they actually are a threat. The U.S. government uses, and plants the fear of terrorism into all of us to justify their passing Bill of Rights-restricting legislation like the Patriot Act, which has been nothing but trouble for what's left of our 4th amendment rights to privacy. A once truly free country has turned, unfortunately, into a growing Police State. We need all those wasted tax dollars to fix domestic issues like boosting our failing economy, paying off over a 20 trillion $ debt, and much more.

fightrrrrr You said, "These war torn areas...are a breeding ground for terrorist(s)." You're right, but not in the way you'd like to think. Every time we go into another country, like Iraq, and shoot up some village, killing any number of innocent civilians who otherwise felt no ill will towards the US before then, we have done a much better job of recruiting their children, neighbors, relatives, et al. for ISIS, Al Quaeda, or whoever than those organizations ever could have done on their own.

The movie wasn't propaganda. Nor was it about a hero. It was telling his story through his own seriously flawed perception of reality. The movie also reveals him to be very self centered and Narcisistic and that his close combat buddies resented it. They sarcastically called him 'Legend' especially when he almost gets them all killed. People seeing him as a hero missed the whole point of the movie IMO. It was much more complex than that. Maybe Eastwood was too subtle, or maybe given the hero worshiping going on he knew he had to be.

I mean they have the widow of that dead soldier who fought for his country, crying in the studio as the trailer of a "war" movie is shown, with dramatic movie. If you dont see the propaganda and manipulative nature of that, sorry you are blind.

When a unit is under heavy fire and a man runs out with out a second thought in order to save as many men and women as he can by dragging them to safety before he himself is shot is a hero. A sniper is not a hero. Never has been. But snipers have been great for propaganda across all different flocks of life. Our freedom in the US is not under attack by cave and hut dwellers in the middle east. Our freedom is more under attack by our fucked up government. Egypt, Jugoslavia, Syria, Ukraine, etc.... apparently our government thinks it's ok for the people of these countries to riot, bomb, stone one another, burn building and chase the leader of the country out of hiding to kill him. Turn the tables. What would our own government do if we did the same thing? They'd kill every last person rioting at the white house. Because the people rioting would be a threat to the power that they have obtained. BRICK and John, you both calling Saad an idiot is extremely Ironic. When saying something negative about our military probably never crosses your mind. Well, I've served, and I can think of a fucking books worth of complaints and shit that should change.

Incorrect. A hero is defined by the people who's lives he saved.... He was a hero to many and I would think since u say u served, you'd know that. There are heroes of all types and u can best believe, if hadji was about to run a knife across yr throat and a sniper pops his ass before u get decapitated, you're going to think he is a hero in some form or fashion, ESPECIALLY when it's done to the scale that it was done with Chris Kyle. Keeping in mind Chris Kyle could of stayed back n many occasions to keep popping people from 1000+ yards, but he went door to door as well flushing out potential terrorists. Wake up. All someone Fkn naysaying shit

fightrrrrr That's called his job. I guess everyone is a hero then. Considering you save lives by not killing people as well. I currently drive a big rig, and save thousands of potential victims daily. I've saved more people than him, by stopping myself from killing everyone around me. Should make a movie and write a book about me now.

Hero is defined by the PEOPLE who claim it... The PEOPLE!!! If you are someone's hero, then it doesn't matter what others think... He didn't call himself a hero, but many others did. People who's lives he saved.... So if you run across anyone calling you a hero because you drive safe, then apparently you've inspired someone somehow. Now if you go running out of yr rig to save someone from a burning car, then that might actually warrant hero status to someone. His job??? Yeah it's his job.... His job to get paid chump change in one of the most riskiest environments imaginable..... His job to maintain insane composure and patience at the highest level possible while being fired upon... His job to save lives......... Those lives he saved are the people who define him.........

Oh look I found the unintelligent person. He wasn’t a coward if he chose to join the navy seals and fight in the Middle East. But no point in telling you this as you won’t care or listen to what people have to say about him unless it is negativity.

Price HD/ You are totally correct. It is the best movie of 2015. Chris Kyle is the best Millitary/Navy Seal Sniper in the world. Long live Chris Kyle.
