@fufucker9898 all the people whom were in competition have differing perspectives, and all sound relatively reasonable too. I suspect that there were plenty of people involved in these situations with competing interests, varying levels of influence, and were working the opportunity to their advantage. And you have to remember that Jay always took care of his shows people, has not apparently cashed his NBC checks, continued to work hard for his money, and now has done his dream job with cars employing many, many others along the way. He's been nothing but good to work for, with, and has lifelong friends. Not saying Conan nor Dave are bad people as I'm sure some of the same could be said of them - I really suspect lots of competing interest of network executives bouncing back and forth between talented individuals when a final hard decision had to be made with winners and losers that involved lots of peripheral people impacted. I really suspect executives and managers were jostling for position, people aligned with jobs, placed their bets, and either took liberties/shenanigans and didn't want to admit what they had done, or maybe some and all outright did dirty deeds -perhaps even Jay, or Dave, or Conan themselves were involved: but we do not really know outside of what the 3 distinctly different perspectives of the main 3 folks involved. I've not really seen anything that makes me distrust Jay, Dave, or Conan nor really doubt them. It appears the situation was mismanaged, miscommunicated, and feelings were hurt all around.

I just love when people, who are super interested in something, just geek out. Even if I know nothing about the topic, it makes me want to learn more. This is how people will get into science and engineering. For me, I could talk forever about custom PC builds, DIY cases, and airflow. I even got some new ideas from McLaren P1 restoration videos for my next mirror PC build.

It's amazing how cars can bring people together... sharing that passion and commitment to the automobile. What a time to be alive and get to hear the sounds of a combustion engine. The future generations have no idea what they missed, while we take for granted all that we've been given.

This makes me smile so hard. I applied to be on "You Bet Your Life" just to have the chance to meet Jay. The night before the taping, I visited the Peterson Automotive museum and got to see Tavarish's restored 2003 Murcielago from "The Fate of the Furious." I was so excited to see that car, and then get the brief chance to talk cars with Jay during the taping and a little bit afterwards. I'm happy to see that Tavarish got to be on Jay's Garage.
