@@abhishekdey1144 I would love a 17-35 rather than a 17-28. As a wedding photographer that would really help me. Nikon hasn't updated their 17-35 F mount in ages and there's no roadmap for it in the Z mount.

Noealz Photo the problem is the mirrorless ownership is only 2% of cameras owned. Yup...we keep hearing that mirrorless is future but until ownership of mirrorless goes way up we won’t see a huge investment in mirrorless specific lenses.

Wonder if this will be their "best" and last DSLR lens with the rise of mirrorless bodies. Nearly 1/2 the price of Canon and Nikon 35mm 1.4s. But still more expensive than the older Sigma. Pricing seems about right.

I haven’t used both but I heard from people who have used both that Tamron is much sharper and doesn’t require calibration every few months. Tamron is also newer lens so more expensive but at the cost of better tech. You can Sigma art for as low as AUD700 at the moment, where Tamron is going to cost you between AUD1100-1300. I bought Tamron, just cuz I prefer images to be sharper without any post processing but again it all comes down to what you prefer and what’s your budget.

Bought for Canon r, used with a native adapter. Auto focus misses. The front focus can be traced. For portrait photography, this is critical, especially in the open. I took it to the official service center, checked it, and confirmed the problem. Changes to the result were not postponed. For this pair, no explanation was given as to what to do in such a situation. In General, the problem was not solved.

Not only cost but increase size of lens. It’s kind of not reasonable when people who do these videos think that every lens should have everything. They aren’t the ones buying or using it. It has to be usable in the hand and still fit your bag of gear without killing you in price and size

You probably should test the lens on better bodies. This lens truly delivers insane image quality. On my D850 I hardly could notice higher resolution stopping down. Insane sharpness at f1.4 even shooting distant subjects. Corner sharpness is the best I've seen on any 1.4 lens wide open. Cannot recommend it highly enough for high res. bodies. CAs wide open are extremely well reduced and focusing accuracy is awesome on the d850.

Fraction of a price? Everything is a fraction like 99/100. Or you could mean something to the tune of 1/4 or less. But at only 1/2 the price of the EF 35mm 1.4 L II, not really a huge deal or at the inferred fraction of the price.
