Purdy's pocket presence and scrambling/throwing on the run is tip top. For a rook with basically no experience it's very encouraging. Dude stood in there and took big hits to drop accurate passes down field. Kyle needs to build on that.

Tbh, I think he might be getting a little better than Warner at the Linebacker position. He makes a little more noise out there. Rarely miss tackles, ints, more explosive than Fred. He's been everywhere out there. Fred has been a little more quiet at times. He just doesn't get around like Greenlaw does and it shows. It was Greenlaw nearly getting another int in the end zone. It's Greenlaw stopping 3rd down conversions. It was Greenlaw tipping the ball on a int. I think he's becoming somewhat better than Warner.

@@twyz0ne Next time you watch a game, notice how Demeco Ryans is putting Dre Greenlaw edge to edge to cover the run with Al-Shaair and Fred is playing pass coverage like a complete unit. Warners got 10 pass break ups this season. Warner has been playing like a db lowkey this year and he is the perfect field general. They all complement each others play style is all I am saying.

Edit: I know Shanahan said after the game that Purdy injured his oblique early in the game but he also said that was not the reason they pulled him, they pulled him cause of the blowout.

As a Panthers fan, sad to say it but couldn’t agree more..

The td run by Purdy for the second score of this game is a revelation on several different levels into the makeup of this young man. Immediately after the snap, he's in shotgun position so he is in great position and sees everyone progressioning into their individual routes. The defense is also making great progress towards him faster than his guys can get into their spots. What does he do? He doesn't panick, he doesn't try to force it in there (like someone we know 😆 and get easily picked). He quickly takes it upon himself and scrambles towards the end zone with greatfootwork. He also has the awareness to extend the ball into the end zone way before he himself enters it to ensure a td before anyone from the defense has an opportunity to take him down. Folks, this is maturity beyond our expectations. He is poised beyond his years, his confidence in himself is undaunting, his high awareness of the situation at hand is phenomenal, his built-in and automatic reactions to the situations he's thrown into is so advanced that I'm speechless. I can only say that his experiences as a 4 years starter in college has been, and is currently now priceless for him and us as fans of the 49ers organization. What a fortune we have in drafting this gem as our last pick and the final draft pick for the 2022 draft class. Gooooooo 9ers!!!

Purdy played really well. Good for him. He handled the pressure and beat Brady. Awesome. Keep it going all the way to the end.

the 49er offense is literally tailor made for a back like mccaffrey who can line up and be dangerous everywhere, don't think they could have gotten a better back for that system. Also his biggest issue in carolina was they had no one else so everything got piled on him and he'd get injured. The niners have plenty of personal so he can share carries, take downs off etc, which should (hopefully) really help keeping him healthy. awesome to see. He is such a great player who's last few years have been marred by injury, hope this sees him return to greatness

@@TheLeroy125 Yeah, I laughed when I saw Lynch had gotten McCaffrey! I was ecstatic!! Yes, he is perfect for Shanahans offense and of course is a Stanford grad so that's always kinda special! He has made such a difference since he's been with us it's a real pleasure to watch him! Good point on us having enough good personnel so he doesn't have to be in there as much. Keeping him healthy is the key.

Everybody talks about when Brady will pass the torch to Mahomes. I think someday people will come back to this game and this was when the torch was really passed and nobody knew it at the time.

The TD pass downfield to CMC was amazing if you add in the hit he took, this kid is our future.

Which you can also conclude in the tiny sample size of that game ... Brock was a better Jimmy G quarterback than Jimmy G

It has been two games which is always a must mention, but Purdy looks so willing to do the things Jimmy won't. Pushing the ball outside the numbers when its open (even though he doesn't necessarily have the arm for it), taking that extra second and not just blindly ripping the ball into the middle of the field, and so far he's shown a solid pocket presence to move the pocket and make those out of structure plays. Hope he keeps it up would be a cool story. Besides we all know how the Jimmy G experience ends with this team.

I was there. Realized something was something beyond special happening when I saw this kid to throw that dagger to Aiyuk. Faithful were chanting his name for the first many times after that.

Buc's defense gave Brady so many chances to come back, but he kept squandering the opportunities. Brady's inability to scramble is really hurting the Bucs. Also, Purdy took some BIG hits. You just know those would have been roughing the passer penalties had it been Brady on the receiving end.

PURDY run-in he was so good, they had to show it 2x 😄😂

This kid was the answer we needed all along and he was 3rd string Mr. IRRELEVANT?🤔 . The players knew this kid was special but were built on loyalty and rolled w Jimmy who helps us win, win, win.. But the Stars aligned right for Purdy and he has a really bright future.

To be fully honest, Mccaffrey was the only person keeping me a Panthers fan. I'm officially a 49ers fan now

Paul16451, you should know that Kyle chokes in the biggest moments. That's why he still hasn't won a super bowl. Even with the Falcons he choked. Plus, no way they beating the Chiefs. Purdy made that pretty walk in TD like a walk in the park. Sure made his Dad proud.

I hope this was the proverbial passing of the torch. One can only hope we have a QB half as great as Tom Brady. I just hope when it's all said and done that Purdy has built his a legendary story to his own liking.

Purdy is nice! @ 3:35 that's an Arron Rogers type throw! Off the back foot, quick flick of the wrist on a backshoulder fade. Impressive!

As an alumni of Iowa State University and someone who has never liked Tom Brady, this game made me very happy.

McCaffrey is a talented back! If he can stay on the field he can be a MAJOR impact for the 49ers!! Great trade!

I can't believe Mr. Irrelevant schooled Tom Brady. Even Patrick Mahomes failed to accomplish this feat. Now I understand why Brock was bitter when Kyle Shanahan told him he would start Tom over him if Tom decides to join the Niners in the offseason. "Kyle, you starting that old scrub over me?"

With a line as good as San Fran has if he's getting hit it's because he doesn't know how to move in the pocket, or to identify where the loose back is coming from

Even with losing Jimmy G. and now Deebo S., 49er's coaching has done a great job at seamlessly readjusting . . . during the game and not having to wait until the next game. A testament to head-coach, Shanahan. Plus, players are all on the same game-plan page, reminiscent of the Walsh and Seifert eras.

I could watch these boys all day. They’re playing beautifully

I think part of why CMC is thriving is because he's not being asked to be a 3 down back. He split carries with Jordan Mason so he can move around the field effectively as a receiver. He had that nice reception to a TD on the sideline too. So as long as the Niners got another guy in the back field whose efficient and explosive, Niners can throw any look against defenses and they all gotta pick their poison.

As a 49ers fan, this win was very special, pure dominance against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Very proud of the offense improvement and the defense is still dominant! Now onto Seattle and possibly take back to clinch the NFC West! GO NINERS!

I have been saying all season the Bucs are a weak team that got lucky to be in a week division. The recent comebacks were more due to teams going into prevent defenses and givng up receptions.

That third td pass was incredible. Niners options game spreads the entire field wide open. The D was suffocating as usual. This Niners team is completely different than all others I can remember since maybe Steve Young. Mccaffrey lit the flame. Guys started to return. The fire getting bigger by the week.
