Love proud dad moments. It's an incredible feeling as a parent/father. Mine was my little boy beating cancer finally but I think I was most proud that he never let it get him down. Not the cancer, not the chemo, nothing was going to break him. He became my inspiration in life as I'm sure this man's son is to him.

Man so heartwarming. Brock goes from being the last pick in the NFL draft to starting in the middle of the season and beating Tom Brady. That’s the definition of a childhood dream.

The whole national NFL media bashes him and calls him a system QB and not elite. In this game he is starting after Jimmy G went down in Miami game. The SF fans see greatness in him once he took over for jimmy in miami, by his second outing the fans Started chanting his name. He blew out Tom Brady, and stole his soul. He is HIM!

And today October 11, 2023 STILL kicking ASS and making Dad proud. Last pick in the draft to. Hats off to the 49rs for seeing something and taking a shot on Brock and its paying off. Curt Warner, VERY similar story line and Tom Brady. All three long shots. Brock just needs to win a couple Super Bowls. If he stays he healthy, I think this year could be it for them. 49rs folded like a cheaf suit after Brock got hurt last year at Philly. This kid is FOR REAL. Smart, great teammate, handles pressure VERY well for a rookie. INCREDIBLE story. Great kid to, you can just tell he's rock solid between the ears. Same as Curt and Tom were, so MENTALLY TOUGH high character guys 🙂

I can’t believe I’m saying this but… he might genuinely be the best rookie QB this season Edit: yes, I’m aware the sample size is minuscule and the bar set by other rookies is quite low. But even then, you just can’t not appreciate a Mr. Irrelevant accomplishing this. And as a reminder, Trey Lance had this same roster minus CMAC but hasn’t had a game like Purdy’s first two. I’d obviously bet against him becoming the best QB of the draft class after 10 years, but after 1 year? That’s a different story.

As a father I can honestly say that being able to see your boy do amazing things and see his hard work pay off is one of the most emotional experiences ever. I know my son isn’t a pro player but seeing him learn at the youth level and becoming a beast is just plan awesome !

My sister lives 5 minutes from Mitch Trubiskys parents and one of my coworkers went to HS with and grew up with Parris Campbell. As an Iowa State alumni I couldn't be happier for Brock and his family. They trusted what was far from a football school to drive him to this point and it's so amazing to see him succeed. GO CYCLONES

For sum reason seeing Brady face in disappointment gives me satisfaction

So happy for this dad. Seeing his son shine on this stage must be an amazing feeling.

How in the world can you not love Brock Purdy!!!!! He really deserves all these amazing things that he has worked for. Genuinely get tears in my eyes thinking about how special this guy is and how lucky we are to be witnessing his legacy in real time!!

Purdy was impressive, great for him.

I had a Goosebumps moment for the family when the crowd started chanting PURDY! I’m hoping for the best for him and the Niners.

This is one of those moments in life that seems like a movie, it’s a true NFL Cinderella story. Purdy was the last draft pick and a 3 string QB, he probably thought he’d never step foot on the field in his entire career. Now he’s on track to being a starter next year, and is laying down the foundation to be one of the best QBs in 49er history, if he keeps this up in 3 to 4 years he will be up there with Montana and Young. I just hope he keeps this momentum up and gets there

Good for their whole family. I miss my dad everyday since I lost him in 2018. Seeing Papa Purdy and his other son share that moment at the end reminds me of going to watch the Giants in game 2 of the 2010 World Series with my dad. I’ll never forget that day. SF scored 7 runs in the eighth inning! Miss you dad!!! ✝️🧡🖤

As a dad I can appreciate this moment. You fight for every inch to give your kid the best chance at life. Then that moment when they step out on their own and get it right, you know you did your job. Good job dad.

Most QBs drafted in the first round fail...Leaf, RG3, Couch, JaMarcus Russell, Trey Lance, Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, etc. Montana was drafted in the third round, Brady drafted 199, Purdy drafted 262. We found our diamond. Brock is legit
