My Quaker Joey was captivated by that rhythm and now bobs up and down and says it! Spud is one of his favorite Birdie Movies!

My poor quaker passed away few weeks ago and watching this video brings me a nostalgic joy Puffo wasnt a talker at all and he was green, but seeing this adorable baby sharing so much love with you is so heartwarming :) Wish you both the best

When I have been on a phone call, I usually say at the end "Alright, I'll talk to you later" and as soon as I say Alight - Spud says "Talk to you".. He hasn't quite got it but I wasn't even teaching him this, he is picking it up lol smart cookie...

Thanks Asten, he is a little cutie 🙈 I actually taught him to turn his whole body around for a treat but then he got lazy and starting only turning his head 😂

He’s beautiful and love his fluff, very happy bird.

My best buddy, hand fed and raised by me was Teebird..a quaker...taked a bunch and appropriately..What a good guy !

@@peepermcbeeper2997 if you are, you have been stimulating his hormones during the season to much, wich isn't a good thing. Not all birds are the same though. It seems for this bird, it is not a burdon, wich is a good thing. Some birds are really sensitive for that. Like : macaws, amazones, cockatoos, and african greys

Had Quakers for 15yrs, great birds for the flock.

I have a baby Quaker and and her name is Phoebe we have two bird cages one for her to play in if we don't have time and it's a big cage and she sleep in a little cage that she really like and I only had her for two days and she's already my best friend

I have a normal quaker parrot who won't talk on video. But he's still talks up a storm.

Chickenfarmer10 True, that’s a good point. I adopted my Quaker from a neglectful and borderline abusive home, so it’s not surprising he is aggressive.

Kristen, Spud is so adorable, my quaker is a male, he's 11 months old and talking up a storm, he has picked up everything you have taught Spud and then some. I have an 10 year old African Grey, she has a 350 word vocabulary and can sing 16 songs. Poncho sits on Mace's cage and listens to her talk and then he repeats what she says, then they both go on repeat all day long....

Wow I didnt know Quakers can talk. My roommate has one and I try to spend time with her everyday. It's taken me about 6 months but I can get her onto my hand without her biting me

I taught spud to do a 360 turn for a treat but he decided that he would do the ‘lazy turn’ and it stuck.. so he does this most of the time when I say ‘turn around’ now if I don’t have a treat lol

Nothing happened to them, he was just clipped at the time to avoid any bad situations flying around the house :) keeps him safe. His wings are not clipped at the moment but I have nearly lost Spud before when we were outside and the wind picked up so he will be clipped again. He doesn't mind it - he has a really good life and is very spoilt lol

Very intelligent birds.

They're very smart and border on understanding our human interactions. Mine yells like he's surprised when I go to touch my fiance , I grabbed her butt a few times and she got surprised n screamed a little bit. Now he does it when I touch her . Whenever I kiss my fiance he also makes the kissing noise and says " love you" just like I do . He only witnessed these interactions. I never taught him. He yells shut the fuck up at my girl when she gets after my son. (Really funny) cuz the bird flies to his shoulder to tell her off! However he has bonded with myself my son and fiance. He actively defends my son from everyone save for me I can rough him up n play with him his mother gets attacked (viciously). They're very protective mine isn't territorial or mean unless my daughter or nephew are around and visitors . But all in all great companions I would recommend them for anyone that has the time for them.
