@@1223steffen No, I don't think it would. Besides having gone through nearly losing his daughter to human traffickers, he also saw his daughter's best friend drugged and dead (and likely sexually assaulted). Therefore, I do not think he could have brought himself to stoop down to the levels of that monster Marko as it would:- 1) Remind him of what happened to Amanda and he would be living in guilt about what he had done and how he BECAME just like the monsters that kidnapped his daughter and killed her best friend. 2) If Bryan did do that and Kim discovered what he did, she would be horrified about it and probably not be able to bring herself to be in his life and/or face him again. Due to this, the entire movie of Taken 1 would be pointless as he had saved his daughter from traffickers only to push her away forever due to the horrific act he committed.

To be fair Brian gave Murad two great options. 1. "Go home and die surrounded by your surviving children, grandchildren and family with people who love you in comfort, without you bother me or my family again, otherwise I ensure your family's tree has no more branches." 2. "If you want to be with your son now, I kill you here, alone, probably unknown, uncared about and likely throw into a pauper's grave by the Turks." Merciful of Brian despite what Murad represents that he's not taunting the father about killing his son Marko, sees their no winners in this situation. Through justified, he's destroyed Murad's World like in no other way before, just as the same as the kidnapped girls and their friends and families and there absolutely nothing Murad can do. "Eye for an eye."

"Because I am tired of it all...." This has to be my favorite line in this movie. For all his badassry and feats, at the end of the day, Bryan is just a guy. He's aching, he's bleeding, he's exhausted, and at the end of his emotional rope. Liam really sells just how tired Bryan really is of all the killing in his wake.

I cannot think of any being less honourable than a man who seeks revenge for his son that DESERVED to die. The entitlement is incredible. His son was less than human in value and yet he demanded vengeance with no shame at all. Just for demanding it the father deserved to die as well. It is this kind of mentality that breeds people that will rape, kill and traffic innocents for money.

Honor? Dude if someone killed your son in such an unwarranted brutal manner, what would you do? Just let it go? I think Murad was far more honorable than the idiotic Neeson's character. Murad's son did NOT kill or rape Neeson's daughter in part-1. Yes, he was part of the kidnapping ring which is bad business. There was no justificable reason for Neeson to torture and then kill Murad;s son in part-1. The punishment did NOT fit the crime. Taken 2008 was great although flawed in parts. Taken 2 (2012) was utter garbage. Racist garbage!

I think the character Brian play the role of a old Gunfighter that is tired of shooting, tired of fighting, just plain tired but no matter what happens there is always someone that wants to be the one to taken him down and be famous. Sometimes, an honourable act by a noble man is able to reach the last of humanity buried in his adversary. It is the act itself that almost humbles them. The look on Murad's face at 1:07, you can see he's surprised, thinking it through but he has to ask why. When he nods to Bryan, he has the look on his face of a man humbled by the generosity of the act, being given his life to go and live with his family. However, a smart honourable man does not bet his life on honour alone, because he KNOWS not everyone is honourable, so Bryan's 'insurance' was that the gun was never loaded. If Murad allows him the peace to leave in that moment, then its likely the issue is put to bed with both men at an understanding between them. Murad's treachery in attempting to kill Bryan after he spared his life - you could see the look on his face; the realisation (and internal horror) that he had no honour himself, and now he was going to die for his betrayal. A fitting end for a POS, and good that Bryan never fully trusted him! *Yes, this is an analysis of the scene, but as a writer this is the kind of shit I do haha :D

+Animeality Sure, but I imagine the plan was to have a third movie bring the whole thing to closure. Possibly by some son of our antagonist here getting our lead at gunpoint and then backing down because "I'm tired of all this." Showing he is wiser then his father was. (or vice versa, with the protagonist pointing out that this will just keep happening if it isn't stopped.) Or something to that effect. Then someone bought a script for Die Hard and adapted it to the licence and we got a mess instead.

Byran & Murad have something in common: they love their families and Would do anything for their sake even if it means torturing or killing those who have harmed them. Of course Murad is like Bryan's Dark equivalent, which of course makes them more Different. Mainly because Bryan's is good, army veteran and former government agent. Murad is evil because he's a mafia boss who tortures the innocent. Murad is also a hypocrite as he feels his life ruined because his son Marco who was killed by Bryan, truly he deserved die. Murad Wants to ruin Bryan's life by killing him and HIS family. But It seems Murad looks pass on the fact HE and MARCO had ruined life's of multiple innocent people and their families. By kidnapping and pimping innocent women and even killing innocent people for example; Amanda. Their families are forced to live that Because of Murad & Marco. Just like Bryan & Kim had to Lenny's death in the movie after this one when Stuart killed her for insurance money. Bryan gave Murad the choice to still move on with his Life despite Marco being killed by his hands. Although Murad said he would of course, he was dishonorable and tried to kill Bryan after he left the gun he threatened him with on the floor. This ultimately led to his death. Did he really think, Byran would stupid to leave a gun that was loaded on the ground? He knew Murad wouldn't get over it. Also as said in this scene before Bryan killed Murad he said that if Murad's two other sons ever try come towards him and his family, he will kill them as well.

He doesn't care about the damage that happens to people which Marco committed, but when the damage happens to him, he cares. The families and friends of the late kidnapped girls from Taken 1, although they were saddened, they had to move on. Murad refuses to move on, but he ends up dead. Edit update: I deleted my previous comment, and wrote a new one. Still, your comment is better than mine.
