The sad thing is, he does have a point for real. But because he tried to bring down a passenger jet just to prove a point and spread a message, he is, unfortunately, a terrorist himself. The death of his father and the supposed negligence on national security must've driven him to the point of insanity.

Great choice by directors instead of just having Bowen jump up randomly revealing himself they just zoomed in on his face watching the video and the audience slowly learning he’s the hijacker

The only thing unsafe is not knowing the true intentions of evil or mentally deranged people. That's why we have police, military, and people like Bill Marks, people who are willing to put their lives on the line to appose and fight evil people. Evil people exist, and they always will exist. That's why we need good strong people to fight evil and protect others. That's the world we live in.

One thing I don't get is when Liam Neeson first arrested that guy on the plane and called his supervisor they said Bowen was clean and he was a school teacher with a child... if he was ex military why didn't that come up?

Tommy speaking facts.

The best part about this movie is that both the protagonist and the antagonist are flawed human beings. However, the protagonist (Bill) is actually honest about it. Both men were doing the wrong thing for valid reasons (Bill abused his badge and disobeyed orders to save innocent people. Bowen endangered those same innocent people to prove that the country is not as secure as people think.), but Bill's actions had positive results. Bill himself admitted that he's not a good father or a good man, but he proved to be a good man in the end.

2:06 best line

I thought that highjacker (Scoot McNairy) got his legs crushed by a steel beam in an accidental street incident in Batman v Superman, but apparently not, he looks just fine here.

"The failure is you!" Similiar quote to the same actor, but in a different movie; "Walking among tombstone", which is one of the most intense movie I've ever watched.

This movie was really good 8.5/10

The difference in weight between a loaded and unloaded handgun is huge. You would be a moron to think it was loaded in real life

I didn’t care about money what he wanted to do was show the world how easy it was to hijack a commercial airliner and that nothing had changed since 9/11

The TSA said a video was uploaded in youtube by one of the passenger which is the kid who keep recording all the time. So bill was suspected at the kid first and check his phone. But when he looks at the video.. well there reveal the mastermind

Bill thought the one who upload the video in youtube is the Mastermind because he want to make bill looks like a bad guy right? So he immediately suspicious with the kid. I think It was a coincidence that he found the true mastermind when he watch the video. Or maybe i'm wrong, bill is already have idea in the first place that the record video could be a clue

If u watched the movie, Liam’s character previously accused Charles Wheeler, a random passenger being the mastermind since “ his phone “ rang after ordering Zack unknowingly being the accomplice at the time program a virus on his laptop to make the hjackers phone ring however Wheeler later dies from poisoning. He eventually found out after watching an earlier video from a passengers cell and notices Tom Bowen planting the phone on Wheeler while he was being wrestled out by Liam’s character, implicating Bowen as the mastermind of the murders

Why the fuck would he talk to Bill in the beginning of the film he literally gave himself away

I was watching the trailer and planned to watch this movie and preparing my food but this video played and ruined the watch

couldnt get through trailer...mixed up cheezy mess....;LN excellent actor,but man does he grab any damn thing in sight...

You have to admit, while Tom was the main hijacker, with the black guy Zack being his partner in crime all over this shit, he did have a valid point. At least over 3,000 people or more than that all died on 9/11, including his father, and well, even though this was a made up movie from 2014, as it is also still relevant to this day, where did they take off on their international flight from to get to London in England in the movie? Where did the plane come from? Nowhere else, but New York City itself, and well, while The Pentagon did get attacked on 9/11, as well as the attempt to hijack a flight from New York to San Francisco to crash it into The White House, most of where 9/11 happened back in September of 2001 was in New York, and well, Tom Bowen, the main culprit behind the hijacking and the threat to kill a passenger every 20 minutes in the movie, he did do what he did, which was hijacking an international flight, but he did what he did to prove a valid point of what is wrong with the USA, and that point was, what happened back in 1914, up until it ended in 1918? World War I happened, then around 21 years after World War I ended, what happened next? World War II all started to happen in 1939, up until it ended in 1945. And then, even though it had nothing to do with what happened with WW1 or with WW2, what happened in 2001? A terrorist attack happened in New York City, which was the attacks of September 11th 2001, and it is also where they took off from on their flight in this movie to get to London all the way in England, and well, Tom Bowen wanted to prove a point, that even if we have security teams and people to protect us, like police officers and firefighters and doctors and nurses and people working on the front lines with emergency calls, and air marshals in airplanes in different countries all over the world, we can all still end up feeling, like we’re not really safe, or even safe entirely, because like he told Bill, somebody worse than him will expose the biggest lie that we have here in America, which is the fact, that nobody in this country, or even a lot of people from all over and around the world is really safe, because every single country is trying to avoid World War lll, or even, another terrorist attack like 9/11, as we are all still trying to avoid the possibilities of World War III happening, or even another terrorist attack that might be 100 times more worse than 9/11 to happen. So that is mostly why, even though the hijacker in the movie, who was Tom Bowen, as well as his partner Zack, even though they were both the hijackers, you still have to admit that they both had valid points, because their points that they both had makes you think a lot about another World War, or another terrorist attack happening, either if it’s something like 9/11, or something a whole lot worse than 9/11.

They did it off-screen. Neeson found a hole behind the paper towel holder in the lavatory that was right behind the pilot's seat. They shot a poison dart at him.
