    Awesome video man. I love how you give a pretty decent description on key issues. It has helped me out a bit. Keeping my eyes open more. I work at a tiny little comic book shop for a day job so I mainly just sit around, read comics and research comic related stuff and that's how I came across your videos.

    Hey, my friend. I really appreciate you checking out my vid. This was my longest vid and I am happy you liked it, despite its length. Sometimes it is hard to predict what will be hot. Since making this vid, I changed my mind on some villain books; those books tend to go up if a movie is announced and then they plummet after the film. Case in point - Ultron. Thanks again for watching my vid!

    Great video, I really like the videos that you post. I have just ordered the 'Brave and the Bold 200' that you showcased in this video. I live in the UK and ordered the only one available on e-bay UK for £50 (or $72). I think that was fairly reasonable for NM copy in the current market. I have only been collecting comics since 2011 but I am building a nice selection. I might post a video in few months showing what I have collected so far. My entire collection fits into one long-box, but its a nice collection. I like the fact you have a lot of variety in your comic collection. P.S I have subscribed. Keep up the good work. i enjoy listening to your knowledge, your videos are very informative.

I really appreciate the comments. Some of my videos are a little long winded, so I appreciate you taking the time to view them, especially this one. It was my longest! Keep collecting. I would love to see your collection on a vid. PS: Just bought a book from Glasgow - Deadline #1 - 1st Tank girl. Those UK books - Tank Girl, Judge Dredd - are hard to come by here in the States. They are def good ones to get!

    Thanks for subscribing to my channel. I will definitely post a video of my collection at some stage, maybe May/June time. Its funny how certain comics are hard to find in certain countries. I collect comics from the 1940's until the present, but I really love the Golden Age comics and I am trying to find as many reasonably priced ones as I can. I was speaking to a UK based collector on the phone recently and he was telling me that the early Detective Comics are actually more common in the UK than they are in America. Apparently soldiers and students during the second world war brought the comics with them to Europe and many of the comics were left in the UK. Apparently this guys grandmother used to be a cleaner at a University during the war and the American students would leave the comics behind when they left. The irony is I have never seen an early Detective Comics anywhere other than e-bay, but its interesting to think about the history of the comics. I do buy comics from America but I usually won't pay more than $200 because anymore than that and import duty comes into effect. That being said the best comic I own is a mid-grade copy of Detective Comics 51 and brought that comic from an eBay seller based in Ohio (for..$800). I do love the old comics, but generally they are to expensive. Most of my comics are Marvel comics under $50. The main problem in the UK is unless you live in a city there are not many comic book shops, in fact I started collecting comics in 2011 because I was living in Perth in Australia and there were several comic book shops. I started my collection by buying some $6 Daredevil comics from the 90's. Its funny it took me so long to start collecting comics, I used to love the X-Men cartoon in the early 90's (when I was 10 or 11). Unfortunately I didn't see my first comic book store until I was 27, but I am now playing catch up. P.S I love Tank Girl.

  • @Reapertate728

    @Reapertate728

    +Russell_Bond The X-Men cartoon in the early 90' help cement me into collecting comics back then. I started with X-Men then moved onto Spiderman. Back then, I really did not have much of a DC collection, but now my Batman collection will probably overtake my X-men collection within a year. Old Detective Comics are great to have and yes, our soldiers used to read comics back during WWII. All sorts of comics and they were left behind in Europe, so you guys and gals who are into collecting might have an easier time finding those key issues. Early Detectives are around in plenty in the US, but expensive. I am just getting into Tank Girl. Cant wait to get Deadline!

    I like DC but so far most of my collection is Marvel. The Uncanny X-Men is my favourite series, I am trying to get as many of those as I can, but my earliest X-men is the X-Men Annual No.1. I just purchased my first Journey Into Mystery...117.

    Most of my collection is Marvel too. Despite that, my DC collection is growing. I do not collect Flash, or superman or Green Lantern and probably never will. They just do not interest me. I collect Batman and Detective and a few other DC books. X-Men is my major Marvel collection with Amazing Spiderman behind it.

    Why Harbinger #1 is HotAs usual, movie hype is driving the value of this book. Paramount Studios acquired the movie rights to Harbinger. A main movie and crossover sequel were planned.While there is some confusion over the status of the movie projects, resulting in a slight softening of prices at all grade levels, CGC 9.8s still sell for more than double the price in 2014.WARNING! A reader incentive program invited buyers of early Harbinger issues to clip out coupons and send off for a mail order copy of Harbinger #0. Copies with coupons clipped are considered incomplete.Check your copy before you invest in it to ensure the coupon is present, and avoid green label Qualified graded examples in CGC holders, as these are worth far less.

  • @stephenworldwide

    That's correct. Harbinger #1 seems to be the most expensive Valiant issue. Besides all the character first appearances and movie hype, it is just a rare comic to find in high grades. It was printed on cheaper paper so the covers crease easily and the spines split. Plus, many of them have the coupon missing and sellers don't even know to look for that (Overstreet doesn't mention it in their price guide). I see online listings claiming "NM 9.4 - 9.8" condition, and with no coupon! According to ebay sales, it's worth about $100 less without the coupon. It's currently around $130 - $160 in NM (raw).
