100% agree on that Hulk 180 book Anthony.. It is by far the most undervalued Wolvrerine "first appearance" book still. And it's starting to pick up on prices I'm noticing. That last page says it all as far as I'm concerned when Wolverine comes at you in that last panel.. Picking up keys like this you have understand it's not always following the masses but following what you love and have to have a keen eye on.. When someone says to me I don't know what book to look for,,I say get what u love don't follow what others collect.. This is why collecting is so personal. Always great seeing new videos buddy.. Great topic.

Another excellent video, Anthony. I recently bought a short box of books that included several of the issues you featured. Also included were some others that might belong on an affordable key list; Tales of the Teen Titans #44, DC Comics Presents #26, the 9/11 black cover ASM #36, Batman Year One Part 1, Tales of Suspense #46-51 which feature the first appearance of the Crimson Dynamo, the Mandarin and the red and gold costume, Journey Into Mystery #118 the first Destroyer appearance, etc. I've watched a couple of other "affordable keys" videos that followed yours this evening and it's amazing how many of the books mentioned were in that box. The highlight, though, was a very decent copy of Avengers #4. (insert dancing emoji here!)

Loved this Video. I’m a newer Collector. Maybe 3 years now, so I’ve really enjoyed watching your videos. They’ve helped me out a lot. ASM252 (may) was 1st “new suit” which we had no idea what it was other than cool as heck! Secret wars 8 (December) was when we found out it was the alien which later became venom which later gave us ASM361 carnage: the May to December was a cool time of not knowing what was really going on, strange behaviors for peter but for us it was just lots of anticipation, we felt something big was coming. Great video, great picks!

Great video Reaper, its funny you showed Detective Comics 259, I was looking at a copy of DC259 on ebay yesterday, great minds think alike! I really like that era of Detective Comics, the 1950's were a really creative era in with regard to cover design.

Incredible video Anthony. I just recently picked up that marvel team up #65 for really cheap like you said, it's on my thumbnail of my last vid lol. That issue is also the 1st appearance of Arcade, who I really enjoy as a villain. Great choices of affordable keys. I definitely have looked at eventually buying hulk #180. Great video my friend I truly enjoyed it.

The full first appearance of carnage is still relatively cheap. Also hulk 180 is still a good purchase. Great video!!

Oh yeah. Carnage is relatively cheap compared to others characters out there. I think it should go down again after the Venom movie and it might be even more affordable.

Great video idea and books shown, would definitely like to get a tec 259! I see daredevil 168 quite a lot at largely differing prices even now on eBay there is a copy for £30 and another for £120! Batman 635 is a good one if you can find a raw copy!

Great video, and great keys you show. I will have to get some of the ones you mentioned...also World's Finest.....LOVE me some World's Finest comics! One of these days I will own World's Best Comics #1. The earliest one that I have is #5. Can I also say that one affordable key issue would be Batman #428 Death of Jason Todd, even in high grade.

Great picks Reaper, Secret Wars 8 always confuses me as far as 1st black costume goes, does have a Mike Zeck cover though. Avengers annual 10 is a nice book to have since its Rogues 1st appearance but value wise that book is very stagnant.

Hey buddy always glad to watch your videos always positive always happy very knowledge. And very friendly. Thank you for being my friend all those affordable keys to Nova 1 to Ant-Man to Batman clocking. It's a good video for people to get some really good keys that are cheap now some of them can be a couple $150 but it's not like buying a book that's a thousand or 3000. Also my friend I had a big laugh the other night when you were on the show with Nick when you said you had to wear your baseball cup when putting little Reaper to bed or when he's all around all the time. I used to date this girl about 10 years ago and she had a two year old and that little boy must have Kik me a thousand times and she be like are you okay be like oh sure. One time he kicked me so bad I went out to my car and lay down for about an hour until he fell asleep and then I went inside and told his mother I got to go home it hurt really bad. I'm watering now maybe he's related to your son haha hehe. Alright my friend I'll talk to you later hope you have a great day bye

If you have at least one more I might get a little Reaper somebody to play with I know my brother and I are 4 years apart but we used to play all the time anyways my friend I'm not feeling very good I'm in a lot of pain so it's okay though I just heard him a lot and feeling sort of kind of depressed just wanted to all go away. I thought of you this morning I almost pulled the trigger IEC book from London at the time the bid was $40 and $20 shipping you don't know what it ended up though. It had the cover with the woman tied to the front and the guys throwing knives at her and she's wearing a red dress. It looked in okay shape it was lower grade it had a spine roll and some ticks but it look like it could have been a 4.0 grade. Okay my friend I'm going to go back to bed I'll talk to you later and happy New Year

Hi there Anthony, Nice video with some nice selections of affordable books , I get the feeling and I could be completely wrong here that the hobby is slipping into an era where collectors are going to start buying and perhaps to a point investing more into single keys or potential keys rather than pulling runs together and to this end you could get the domino effect of people who own what could be considered for the want of better words minor keys liqiudating these to chase major keys or grails thats just a thought I have, take care my friend.

I agree; I feel that is where a lot of collectors are going rather than collecting runs. For the most part, I have went that route as well. These keys are not getting any cheaper. Maybe one day, they will bottom out with some exceptions, but I totally see collectors moving away from runs and going after key books. Great discussion, my friend! Talk to you soon.

I wish issues like Hulk 181 were reprinted more.Some of us werent alive back then to buy those comics when they were cheaper.

New Gods #7 is an awesome book. Read it with Mister Miracle #9.

It’s crazy how $50 for a semi-Key book is considered affordable. I wonder if today’s prices is too cost prohibitive for new collectors. Anyways, nice video Repear I look forward to see part 2.

Hey, Dead Clone. It's crazy, right? To be honest, if I were a new collector and I liked Wolverine, I would be discouraged at the prices of 181. Even a low grade copy goes for a lot of money. How could any new professional out there start a decent comic book collection unless they were living at home paying no major expenses, for the most part. Crazy. Thanks for watching, my friend. Thanks, Leonard. Glad you liked the vid. The best site, that I know of when it comes to page count, is my comic book shop. Simply look up a boom and read the description; it is usually the last sentence of the description. I hope that helps.
