For this video I got curious about the stock Tacoma air box system. I never considered cold air intakes as being very beneficial to the Tacoma for anything more than a sound gain. So I went ahead and just looked for a way to get rid of the Helmholtz resonator to give the Tacoma a bit of a sound change. Just wanted to try a little DIY and share my results. Is this a worthy Tacoma Intake Mod? It is up to you. I don't think the stock system is bad at all, which is also why I kept the stock airbox. Tacoma intake mods are always fun to do!

Now you just need the important part, the trd intake flow accelerator, that goes on the inlet side of the stock airbox
Just did this mod myself after seeing your video. Definitely makes it sound more aggressive at 3.5k-4K rpm’s. Before there was a turbo like intake whistle sound, I’ve noticed it’s a bit less surprisingly.
I did exact same thing too and put a Trd accelerator intake on my tacoma as well works great maybe .5 or 1 mile to a gallon better but my opinion it just gets better off the line acceleration that’s what I want

I wish o would have known that. I ordered a cold air intake on 4/23 from Yota Verse, but it’s taking FOREVER for it to get here

i just tried to order the parts and they told me that parts can't be purchased that way & they blew smoke and said the individual parts would be wayyyy more than the completed intake kit.

That is weird. They let me order it just fine, and others also. Maybe it was your rep on the phone? I just told them my original tubing broke so I needed a new one.
