Where do u get OEM?
@@larrydavis6976 one of the online Toyota oem stores
totaled my wrx and almost died a few weeks ago, been looking at these 3rd gen tacomas. I want something that looks good, is comfy, and can carry my mountain bike around easily. Been driving my parents 2011 trd tacoma since then, I'm hooked tbh.
Every little flare and exaggeration is done so tastefully and perfectly. Its not gaudy or over done. So beautiful.
Nisaan GTR 💀
Frustrating and unresponsive.....just like my wife
How many 3rd gens were still being sold in Q1 2024?
How much did the tune cost?
$450 I believe
Just brought home a used ’22 Tacoma, 2-wheel drive, that SR cab, I think, and it means I can now take my Vespa(S) to locations that my hands will no longer let me drive to, and I can quit using a Veloster R-spec to haul building supplies for my old house, I can actually haul 4x8 sheets of materials. It’s in very good shape, the seat fits me fine, but I’m not that big a person, I don’t need to go that fast and I have secure inside, dry space to put luggage or shopping and enough room that a friend can go places with me, and I got a very good deal on the price. I do want to ‘girl it up’ some.
I know this is old... But I just bought a 2022 SR5 and absolutely love it...
Yes Taco 2023. Paint on door handle super scratch due to fingers. Grr
Carbon dragon damn
Made some good points. Last gas powered Supra who knows? These things are tricky sometimes; if it is the last Supra then yes I think it will hold up its value well, but again who knows?
Now you just need the important part, the trd intake flow accelerator, that goes on the inlet side of the stock airbox
Man says hes gonna scrape on stock suspension lmao
I just got a tacoma last week and i love it , i hope it lasts a long time
The transmission issue can be fixed if you are willing to be patient enough to find a manual
Lucky man
Was thinking of doing the same...how does it look 5 months later?
Few chips, mainly from gravel I believe. But not the worst. Could probably touch it up easily enough
where do you think OEM grills are made ?
When I went looking for a replacement for my 05 Chev Colorado 5cyl manual in 2017, I tested the Tacoma automatic, and it was a dog. I hate automatics anyway, and I was looking at the Tacoma because it was the only manual available in Canada. I was assured by reviews and the sales lady that I would not be unhappy waiting three months for a manual. This I did, it was delivered and in the first year I put on 36,000 kms what a pleasure to drive. Yes, the engine seems sluggish at low revs, that's a feature of the Atkinson cycle engines. But kick that throttle just a little, in the right gear, and it's a jackrabbit. Tll do 100 kph in 4th gear at about 5000 rpm, and it'll pass just about anything on the highway with ease. It's now six years old with 74,000 on it. Zero problems other than a roof strip came off in a carwash right at warrantee end. No questions, both were replaced. One call back by Toyota for, I think , a brake switch. Done during a service under their recall programs. I also. On occasion, tow a small camper, about 2000 lbs, all the way from Ontario to PEI, about 10,000 km's round trip. Most of it in 6th gear at about 100 kph. Fuel consumption went up by about 25% but I regularly average 8.2 L/100 km's without the trailer. It's my work truck, so has a cap and tools that probably weigh an extra 1000 lbs or 500 kg. They seldom leave the cap. Would I buy another make? I looked at Nissan, crap, gm mid sized, crap, along came Ford with their new ranger. Haven't looked at it because I didn't like the company one I had before. I'm quite happy with the Tacom. It rides nice and handles snow, ice and clear roads like a car. It'll probably be the last vehicle I own. I'm now 80.
They lost me when the V6 disappeared. I've had 3 Toyota Tacoma's all V6 and am presently driving a 2015 4 door, V6, 4X4 Pro, Auto, TRD, long bed with 46,000 miles. I've had good luck with the V6 and don't like the 4 cylinders at all, especially the ones with the turbos. Before I would buy a Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder no matter how it is equipped, I would drive to a Nissan Dealership and buy a Frontier like my neighbor did in May 2024. Hopefully Nissan is looking at the Toyota Tacoma debacle and will take note "If it isn't broke don't fix it." What a disaster, I thought Toyota was smarter than that. The Toyota Tacoma's are already stacking up at Dealers and the Toyota Tundra is not selling because of those recalls on 2022 V6 engine failures, somebody neglected to flush metal shavings out of the blocks after machining resulting in spun rod bearings and crankshaft bearings resulting in locked up engines, 102,000 recalls. Most will be rebuilt with short blocks. Toyota claims Dealers charge back will be $24,000 to $28,000 for the rebuild, I don't know whether to believe that or not but that's what they say.
"ALRIGHT"
I feel for you, with all those flaws sell it to me.
The only Tacoma I would regret buying is the 3rd and 4th gen.. because it’s too expensive.. the 2024 looks lovely.. but it isn’t a truck you own and you say to yourself this was worth $50k.. over a years worth of work after you pay taxes.. 2024 four cylinder turbo that red lines at 5400 rpm’s (and it sounds like four cylinder.. yeah.. no way around it) and gives you 18-21mpg with a gas tank that only holds 18gallons.. you’re gonna be getting gas at like 300 miles or less. There is too much to say here.. the cost.. it hurts too much even if it lasts a long time… the warranty offers suck..
As already stated-its a mexican made over priced 4 cylinder turbo that everyone knows will not last long term-good luck to anyone that purchases these Tacomas because their going to need it!!
Just a marketing gimmick. Only a body kit specialist who butchers your porsche without anti rust. Doesn't add anything to performance or handling, just a mod to give a very heavy steering with giant tires and stance. And making you at least $3k poorer. A genius hustler
*$30k
I had a 2019 TRD-Off Road Tacoma with manual transmission. I liked the truck overall-but ultimately got rid of it due to the seat being too uncomfortable to drive significant distances. I now own a 2021 Lexus RX350
The price isn't high, its insanely out of touch with reality. Half the truck is just a bed with no interior costs to it. Toyota needs to fire all the pricing division employees.
Every part of his is unique! He just Designs ut like he wants to
I think you made a mistake if you sold it because of what you think the future value will be. Buy the car to enjoy it. bmw may be stocked up on b58’s but none of them are stick shift fool the manual supra is 1 of 1
And the transmission is fine. After I hit 5kmiles on my truck the shaking went away the shifter takes time to get used to you shifting gears
A I taco off road can tow 6 thousand pounds my guy how is 6k not a lot
Hugh Hackman
Good video and I appreciate the honesty, although most people who buy a Tacoma are not looking for a truck that is going to be doing major hauling or win any races. Most Tacoma drivers will be the ones driving 65-70 mph down the interestate not 80-90 mph and are more interested in the longevity of the vehicle and engine more than power.
Good investment for everyone getting that custom

How do you explain the 17-18k that sold in May then?
Great detailed install video! I’ll be doing mine this next week (‘23 Tacoma TRD off road premium).
Thank you! Enjoy them, they look great and for the price they are hard to beat
These are better than the OEMs! Will be looking into getting these for my ‘23 TRD off road (it’s the premium and lunar rock).
Because they only made 21,558 Tacomas in q1 2024 😂 it’s a new truck and inventory is just hitting the market.
I’d buy one but it could only be used for summer driving in our area as we get 5-7 feet of snow every winter
Ah yeah, after I sold mine it actually went to a state that is the same. It just sits during the winter
@@RobsAutos It’s harder on the vehicle to sit that to be driven occasionally
Can you say, "Guys" a few more times?
bashes the Tacoma, because he's a soyboy, then pumps his affiliate links LOL
1 Joe Biden is president, no money 2 Interest rates to high 3 It is priced to high. 4 Only 4 cylinder
If you want good MPG raising it a bigger tires don’t help the MPG.
Just bought these
FYI: the flickering light behind you monitor is annoying.
I have a 2019 TRD Sport, bone stock, its right at the limit but ive towed my 7k lb boat with it. Gotta put it in 4wd and drop it in 1st to pull it out but itll tow more than you think.
Fake News 😂😂
Thanks, perfectly done. Short sweet and to the point.
