2024 Tacoma Won't Be Good! Do Not Buy The New 2024 Tacoma Before Watching This!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Wanted to make a video showing why I am not buying the New 2024 Tacoma! I think buying the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma is a bad idea! Some of the new Tacoma features are really cool but I wanted to explain my reasoning and why I am sticking to my 3rd gen Tacoma. The 4th gen Tacoma may be promising, but I am not buying the new Tacoma nor recommending the new 2024 Tacoma yet. The new 2024 4th gen Tacoma seems like a solid Tacoma but I would not recommend buying it yet. Do not buy the 2024 Tacoma until you have watched this video and can see my reasoning and why I am not buying the new 2024 Tacoma.

I bought a 2023 Taco TRD Off-Road XP in May. I love the the Leaf Springs and Rear Drum brakes and I do not want to experiment with a Turbo. They stress the engine.

I remember when the Gen 3 (16-19) Tacoma came out it had many problems until after a few years (20-23) ,then all the bugs were worked out.

That Jumbotron computer screen that overwhelms the front dash is a dealbreaker for me. Should have been smaller and integrated into the dash--not integrated into the windshield!

I actually don't think it really looks that different at all. The 3rd and 4th looks very similar where as the 1st and 2nd look totally different. The 4th gen just looks like a slightly more aggressive higher trim of the 3rd. With a weed wacker 4 cylinder turbo motor 🤣😅 I wouldn't want the iforce motor. Its midsize. I don't need 300+ hp for the added complexity.

Simple is preferred. I was holding out for a 24 until I saw the interior shots and that obnoxiously large screen turned me off so bad I went and found a 19 SR with rear seat delete and only 13k mileage 😂 I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. It’s like having a updated version of my 93 pickup but with the a/c vent style that of my 78 pickup.

I agree, that screen on the dash looks like a screen from a mid sized laptop ....it's distracting and too large.

I agree with you regarding the Tacomas. I have a ‘23 TRD off road premium. Love it! Simple dependable, and plenty of power, for me. If I need any more power surges, I take out my ‘17 Mustang. GT/CS for a ride. Great videos! Keep them coming!

I have had a 2012 Tacoma with a 4.0 V-6 and that was a great motor and I currently have a 2022 Tacoma with a 3.5 V-6 and I like it but not as much as my old truck. But I am not sold on hybrids and I am very worried the 4 banger turbo is going to be a DOG.

I think the base model 4 cylinder turbo will be on the same level as the current 3.5

@@RobsAutos possibly but I am a BOOMER that grew up in the 1960’s with MUSCLE CAR’S and BRUTE POWER. these little lawnmower motors DO NOTHING FOR ME. I hate change and that is why I am pissed off at Toyota. The screwed things up when they dropped the 4.0 from the Tacoma line. An things have gotten worse.

In my opinion the prices won't drastically be higher because there's 2 engine options the 2.4L turbo I-4 and the i-Force MAX 2.4L turbo I-4 hybrid which produces a lot more power. The standard 2.4L turbo I-4 will cost less money to build than the current v6 Tacoma engines. The only price jump you will see is if you select the i-Force MAX 2.4L turbo I-4 hybrid then that will cost more than the current gen Tacomas.

I bet the Trail Hunter cost more than the Pro. We will probably know in a month or two. 🤑 Those msrp prices are meaningless. Trd off-road in my neck of the woods will cost you $50,000 for the 21 or 22. A new one is even more than that.

I respectfully disagree! I have a 23 TRD Pro and I’m on the list to get the newest iteration TRD Pro with a hybrid engine. With inflation, a complete overhaul redesign, and new engines, it’s no surprise that prices will be going up. Issues will arise, and solutions will be proposed. It’s cyclical in the automobile industry. I would say to a buyer interested in a 2024 Tacoma: don’t be afraid to pull the trigger on an absolutely killer new truck with tons of new features and capability. I love what Tacoma has done and I’m excited to see my 24’ TRD Pro Taco show up to my front door! Great video and I respect your opinion!

You are right that it will be an awesome truck so long as you are cool with the potential “first adopter” issues. But that is what a warranty is for! Enjoy it, definitely can’t wait to see them on the road!
