Спорт

This Tackle Hack is a must know for all anglers that want to stop that noisy reel from making horrible sounds every time you wind it in. It's really simple to fix and with this hack heaps cheaper to do it yourself than sending it away or paying someone else to do it. All you'll need is a few small tools and this video.

Thanks man. I didn't even know there was a smaller ball bearing in there. Made my reel silky smooth and quiet again.

Hi Liam, I have 3 Stradics and 1 Diawa Sol, I found the roller bearing on the Sol shit itself after a few trips, I replaced it with a ceramic bearing, after a session I pt a drop of oil on my line roller bearing and the pivot points of my bail arm and that's it, one of my Stradics is 13 years old and still feels like new, how do you find the difference between Diawa and Shimano..

alleycat I’d be more of a fan of the latter to be honest mate. My Lew’s are a couple years old now and if I keep em above water I’ve had no problems with them.

Measure the bearing with calipers then order a replacement from Avid bearing. Bearings are $1ea. unless you go with ceramic.

Yeah I take em to my local bearing shop and let them measure em up. Easy fix mate.

not grease on the beaerings? my shimano didnt help with oil but got a bit more silent with grease but not as silent as i demand .. its only one month old

  • @LiamFitzpatrick

If it’s too far gone oil won’t help. Grease will slow it down and won’t spin as free as it could but it will spin.

Just a fine machine oil will do but most reel companies do their own oils these days so you have plenty to choose from mate.

@@LiamFitzpatrick What exactly is the race between. In order for it to be a race you need other paticipants or for example a race against time. Punctuation and spelling terrible. Zero knowledge of maggots and mould. Fist pumps to the boys keep grinding well done on showing how stupid you really are
