My favorite thing about animatics of this moment is that the only difference people make when taako drops the spell is maybe some bags and slightly messy hair like YES THIS TOTALLY LINES UP WITH MY THEORY THAT WONDERLAND JUST ALTERED HIS PERCEPTION OF HIS BEAUTY

Years later and I still can't believe this sweet and pure ship derived entirely from Justin doing a bit of Taako trying to rope a pink crystal golem into tentacle porn, bless

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! Your Taako design is the best I've ever freaking seen, I love it so much (The hair! The outfit! THE EARS!!!!)! Also holy crap, kudos to you for animating this so damn well; you did fantastic! The little nervous tics and small movements you added in (like Taako's ears moving/showing emotion! I love it!) just really nail the emotion in the scene! And the poses are so natural and drawn so well! Well done!

i don’t draw him that differently! the thing is that he didn't like, look completely different or anything, he just looked “normal”, as griffin/lydia put it? i just figured that average imperfections would show up a little better, like being visibly tired or hurt. also, i tend to draw some of his freckles as being kind of sparkly pre-wonderland, so those get dimmer post-wonderland, as well as him having less saturated colors in general, but its kinda tough to show either of those with black and white.
