I just landed in Tanjore just to know about the authentic recipes.
The Kalyana Veetu Sambar prepared in Tanjore is well-known for its authenticity.
As soon as I stepped into Tanjore, I was delighted to see the greenery. It was a complete treat for one’s eyes to see the agricultural lands.
Similarly, I was astonished to see the Tanjore Palaces, Tanjore Painting and the Tanjore Dancing Dolls. Along with these, I happened to witness an excellent experience, which is none other than the Veena making. I witnessed the detailed procedure on what kind of wood is used, the time for processing and the number of days it takes to make a veena.
I am sharing this information in detail so that you can also have a look at these places when you visit Tanjore.
Kalyana Veetu Sambar
Sambar Powder Ingredients
Toor Dal - 50g
Gram Dal - 25g
Coriander Seeds - 50g
Dry Red Chilli - 100g
Black Pepper - 5g Fenugreek - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - Few Strings

Kuzhambu Podi - 4 tsp Tamarind - 50g
Turmeric Powder - A Pinch Asafoetida Cube - A Small Piece Mustard - 1/4 tsp

    I went to maligai store, i have given the list malli - 50gm, kadalai parruppu 25gm, thuvaram paruppu 50gm, milagu 5 gm total = 130gm, milgai 100gm, venthayam 1 tea spoon, got the the above said arai porul, prepared the same way..
