I always believed that sambar powder shall not be fried in heat. No one believed. Thank you for validating my point.

From 89-92 I was almost a everyday customer to Durga with my office colleagues while working at the SIET towers. Your Dad personally waited on us every time. Even when we come in very late he very patiently used to personally make the dishes as some employees would not cooperate that late. I have also seen you as boy there! Only now hearing the Teynampet Durga Restaurant name I was able to connect the dots. Had great food all the time - every time the quality was great! Best wishes to your Dad and to you for sharing the recipes.

My mother lives in Mylapore and one of her uncles had a huge home (2 independent bungalows on one plot) a short distance from the Teynampet Mount Road signal, which is now the DMK Head Office I think. When I recently made one of your recipes, mentioned Durga Lunch Home. She remembered it and said it was very well known in the old days.
