SYIL X4 CNC Mill Teknic Clearpath SDSK Centroid Acorn Project: Bench Testing

Ғылым және технология

3/11/21: ADDED: Move the C86ACCP Jumpers to 1-2 SOFT ENABLE. This will allow resetting of the Clearpath motors should they fault by cycling the Estop button. Servo motor rotors will not lock until CNC12 is in the READY state.

Andrew, do yourself a favor and buy the C86ACCP from CNC4PC.com. best $50 you'll spend and it handles everything. In about two weeks, they'll have a version with both molex and terminal blocks for the Clearpath signal cable

I hope you are going to go with Centroid Acorn? Post photos of the inside of the Laguna control cabinet, one of the Axis motors if possible and the model number of the existing drive. centroidcncforum.com/viewforum.php?f=60 Easiest route is to keep the existing drives and motors and simply go with Centroid Acorn. So far, I like the Clearpath solution because the drives are on the motor. Can you crimp Molex Minifit Jr. connectors? Post to the Centroid forum....

@@martyscncgarage5275 we’ve been discussing the masso g3. I’ll get some picture later today. The existing controller is all B&R which isn’t bad, but the drivers do t speak step and direction they are a proprietary language from B&R- thus the reason we are gutting it and starting over. It’s a closed system so we can’t do any upgrades like switching out stepper motors for the clear path. I’ll definitely check out the forum and look more into acorn. Thank you for replying so fast! Great work here on your channel. Btw: We are in Texas and everything is frozen, we shut down the business until things clear up a bit. I’ll get pictures hopefully today.

Hello Marty. I have a question on the C86ACCP. I recently installed the board, the new one with the flying lead terminal blocks. I see in the GCnC Revisions manual that you have wire jumpers in the two position flying lead blocks. Are these necessary when using the molex plugs. I ask because I seem to have to have input 5 set to NO red circle. If set to NC drive fault occurs upon any movement. I wired everything else as per your video.
