SYIL X4 CNC Mill, Teknic Clearpath SDSK, Centroid Acorn Project: Basic Panel Layout

Ғылым және технология

In this video I go over basic component layout of my back panel.
Take your time, move things around. Be fluid. You may have to adjust as you go. I had to fine tune several times.

it would be cool if you could get a new syil from the factory with a centroid control

So I am setting up almost this exact setup. You used a 24v coil contactor. How are you wiring that up? You have 240 volt coming in. Do you have that 240v switched to the 24v power supply that turns on the board but also activates the contactor to turn on all the rest of the 240v equipment (IPC-5 and VFD). I am having trouble finding a 2 pole switch that will run both lines of the 240v to the power supply? Or did you just split off and run l1 to the power supply and activate it using 120v? Also, how did you wire your emergency trip? My thinking is to run it in series with the switch so that if I have an issue, it just kills power to the 24v, which will kill power to everything.

Stay tuned for the next video showing the back panel wired up and it will answer some of your questions. Meanwell power supplies are rated up to 240vac

No. Use the Centroid 220vac system wiring diagram as a guide. Watch the next video. I do go into some detail on the back panel wiring.

@@martyscncgarage5275 Hej Marty! Thanks for responding to me so quickly.. I am curious about the little complicated nitty gritty details like how you wired the safety relay and so on.. the genetic diagrams from Centroid are great but some grey areas remain.

Looks great. What contactor are you using?

Eaton DILM series. You size based on load and coil voltage
