If your Husqvarna 435X or 535AWD Automower is giving constant lifted errors or a switch cord error, then sit back and watch this video the whole way through. The switch cord error is one that started popping up more and more in the spring of 2022. Some claim to have started having the switch cord or lifted error more often after the firmware was updated on their mower. But if you recall, that was at the time when dealers were supposed to be upgrading the Automower Connect board in all of the AWD Automowers and then update the firmware. So, what does changing the Connect board and updating the software have to do with the switch cord located in the link arm (Or spine as we call it)? As you will see in this video, on the original style switch cord the wire is routed in an "M" (Or "W" if you flip it upside down)and that style had more possible pinch points than the new version that has the wire routed in a "U". To replace the Connect board in these mowers you have to remove the body on the front chassis, and then split the chassis open. With all of those parts being moved around and reassembled it wouldn't take much to pull on the switch cord wire. When working properly the switch cord is activated when the plate under the mower presses against it from someone trying to lift the mower. But if the wire is pulled slightly during these repairs of if something like a tree branch snags it and pulls it slightly it can easily put side to side pressure on the switch cord and either stop the mower at that point, or leaves the switch cord much more sensitive and easily set off by vibrations while the mower is running.
