Sweetwater Minute - Vol. 118, BOSS FB-2/BC-2 Pedal Demo

Музыка

Mitch demonstrates the BOSS BC-2 Combo Drive (bit.ly/sw_BC2) and the FB-2 Feedback Booster (bit.ly/sw_FB2). The BC-2 Combo Drive gives you the sound of a British combo amp, giving you smoothly compressed clean tones through to twangy bite. The FB-2 Feedback Booster gives you the power to control feedback anytime you want for a chaotic but controlled sound! It also gives you a gain boost when you need it. Very different pedals, but both sound great!

The FB-2's feedback function is the coolest addition to a guitar.

The BC-2 has some really nice grit to it. The distortion is smooth and creamy with plenty of sustain. It definitely does a good job mimicking Brian May's overdriven Vox AC-30 combo amp.

Great demo Mitch. Was looking for a pedal to duplicate Gary Rossington's feedback sound in the intro of That Smell without getting crazy buying a tube Ampeg Rocket ect. You solved it, get a Boss FB-2 Feedback Booster. Thanks a bunch.

I like the FB-2. I have a Peavey Mace 2-12 160 watt monster from the mid-seventies that Skynyrd and 38 Special used. The amp get this kind of feedback, but at stadium levels. :-) Check out the ending notes of "That Smell" or Gary Rossingotn's intro solo feedback of the same song. I could easily use this pedal for all the times I play at low volume. Thanks Mitch from a fellow North Dakotan. :-)

I like the demo set-up you can see the cables where it goes Seems like no cheating unlike some demo never show only the FX, when you buy you will throw it because it sounds very different from what youtube has shown but wait a minute the cable must be plug in front of the Amp right?

For the Boss FB-2: I noticed on many of the demos players are using the feedback functionality for one note played (ie. demo players seem to be just hitting one note and letting it feedback without holding feedback down and moving to new notes.) The demo for this new fender feedback pedal demonstrates it's ability to maintain feedback through changing notes played on the guitar. (/watch?v=LaMEdWHiLno) just wondering if the boss FB-2 has this note changing feedback abilitity

elmero mero # I noticed you posted that comment on all the videos of this pedal, it's really not a distorting it over drive pedal... it's more of an amp modeling technology because it is digital and it mimics the AC30 vox amp. But with all that said you can use it to over drive your preamp section that will follow through to your power amp tubes as well. you can also use it like a distorting pedal into a very clean amp, just set it up like distortion sonics and you're good to go. it's both and neither and all in one !😉

You should have held the feedback down while playing a bit… that would have helped me decide whether to buy it or not… now I'm pretty much right where I started. Good demo, though.

I don't see this pedal for sale as new anymore. Has it been discontinued? Are there any clones/alternatives that five the kind of sustain this one did?
