Put your white tennis shoes on and follow me
Why work so hard when you could just be free?
You got your moment now, you got your legacy
Let's leave the world for the ones who change everything
Nothing could stop the two of us
Let's just get lost, that's what we want
And I will never sing again
And you won't work another day
I will never sing again
With just one wave it goes away
It will be our swan song
It will be our swan song
Be our swan song
It will be our swan song
Dive in, dive deep in dark blue my sweet
Rushing up from the water where the ice meets
And you've been gone so long, you missed everything
The world can change in a day if you go away
But nothing could stop the two of us
If that's what we want
We could just get lost
And I will never sing again
And you won't work another day
I will never sing again
With just one wave it goes away
It will be our swan song
It will be our swan song
Be our swan song
It will be our swan song
Do you like
Do you like where you've been and
Where you're going to (going to)
Say goodnight
Say goodnight to the life and the world you knew
I'm going to follow you
And I will never sing again
And you won't work another day
And I will never sing again
You won't work another day
It will be our swan song
It will be our swan song
Be our swan song
It will be our swan song
Put your white tennis shoes on and follow me
Put your white tennis shoes on and follow me
Put your white tennis shoes on and follow me
Why you work so hard when you could just be free

You are right but like the gangsters wives it is all fun and games till shit like this goes down . Politics at the time was and still is gangsters in smart attire . The high life the good living and the gifts of pearls and diamonds comes at a price. I know of beautiful women from my area who lives are ruined from witnessing their gangster boyfriends murdered . They need to know that this is always a potential when you are on the arm of these men

2:52 3:40 The desperation she shows when picking up pieces of his brain and try to hold them together... I was really sad and heartbreaking to see. Amazing acting of showing how delirious someone becomes when they lose someone so close so suddenly that they’d do anything to get them back no matter how irrational it may look

In my opinion this is Lana del Rey's greatest song. There is something so hauntingly beautiful about the introduction and lyrics that set it apart from her early work. To tell the story of two people who loved eachother so deeply, go through a devastating separation and have their "Swan Song" together is breathtaking. It is a sad shame how the industry has thrown away such talent and overlooked Lana's work. This song is the epitome of happiness, innocence, love and loss. A pure poetry which speaks to everyone in life.

This is song is one of my personal holy trinity from Honeymoon album along with The Blackest Day and Terrence Loves You. In my head canon, its the album closer rather than the cover song. That intro and violin building up before chorus always send me to chills

Natalie Portman has got the perfect face for every Lana del Rey song. It's perfection, just like this song, and embodies this innocent and simultaneously sexual, deep, melodic darkness of her songs in a human face. Especially her Chanel advertisement clips go perfectly with Lanas songs, but this movie as well, since Lana even used the same story and aesthetic in National Anthem.

Swan Song reminds me of my grandmother who loved swans. She passed away last November, and I still can't get over it. I kept listening to this song and all of Lana's songs, which actually helped me not falling in a total depression. Also, the line "why work so hard when you could just be free" makes me think about how hard my grandmother fought to live and to be there for her daughters and grandchildren when she only wanted to die. She was very sick, she had multiple sclerosis since age 30 but she fought until 76. The strongest woman I've ever known. I loved, I love and I'll love her forever. Thank you Lana for always being there for me. I love you.

We were looking at some pictures in my US History class and this one of Jackie climbing on top of the car after John had been shot came up. I said it was a really sad photo and the teacher agreed. A boy behind me asked why I thought it was upsetting (besides the assassination itself) and I said it was because the photo captured Jackie trying to pick up pieces of John's brain tissue. And she wore the same blood-covered outfit from that day because she was hurting so much. It was a really intense photograph.

The movie parts you chose are so shocking... just like the real tragedy, its sad even for me as a foreign woman, but I can tell the world of politics is dangerous and sad everywhere... and this is a great love story that went bad, after all... great work, you made me shed lots of tears. One of our presidents died too, but its supossed to be a natural death, his widow was elected president later, a very different story I guess... or not. We'll never know, there are lots of theories about it. Natalie is a superb actress, no doubt about it

Absolutely stunning. I love how you timed the second "with just one wave it goes away" with her downing her wine, and when she claps the music sounds like it's starting to clap too and build as others stand with her. Ugh, so great.

A Sawn Song is that last song you ever sing/perform, this is so sad because it’s very relatable to the Kennedy’s. This song is one of my faves from Lana, very deep and very sad while sounding so beautiful, but then again, sadness makes some people feel happy.

This is my favorite lana del rey music video, and it's not even hers. What a superb job of editing. The mingling of each scene with the cadence of the music, the developing and mounting intensity, just wow.

I love this video. At first I was thinking, Swan Song by Lana Del Rey is definetly not one of my favorite songs on the Honeymoon album. But as soon as I listened to this song with all the different scenes from Jackie, I was like, Oh My God. It's almost eerie and surreal how well this goes with that particular movie and then the JFK assassination. 😭 The song. The movie. And how it all really happened. So tragic.

(Lyrics) Put your white tennis shoes on and follow me Why work so hard when you could just be free? You got your moment now, you got your legacy Let's leave the world for the ones who change everything Nothing could stop the two of us Let's just get lost, that's what we want And I will never sing again And you won't work another day I will never sing again With just one wave it goes away It will be our swan song It will be our swan song Be our swan song It will be our swan song Dive in, dive deep in dark blue suede Rushing up from the water where the ice meets And you've been gone so long, you missed everything The world can change in a day if you go away, but Nothing could stop the two of us If that's what we want, we could just get lost And I will never sing again And you won't work another day I will never sing again With just one wave it goes away It will be our swan song It will be our swan song Be our swan song It will be our swan song Live your life Live your life, where you've been Where you're going to (Going to) Say good night Say good night to the life in the world we live I'm going to follow you And I will never sing again And you won't work another day And I will never sing again You won't work another day It will be our swan song It will be our swan song Be our swan song It will be our swan song Put your white tennis shoes on and follow me Put your white tennis shoes on and follow me Put your white tennis shoes on and follow me Why you work so hard when you could just be free?

Natalie is so perfect in this movie. She just exudes a feeling, a thing, an aura, it's like she's real Jackie. Jackie loved this man with her life, and we notice it when she desperately tries to piece together the remains of his brain. Jackie did just that. I have no idea what it's like to lose the love of my life, but surely Jackie knew and Natalie knew how to show it with her brilliant acting.
