HI folks! I hope you enjoy this first ride review (well second ride really after the usual GoPro problems). I do have to state for the record that I do not ride the bike off road - this is a road based review. I still live in hope that one day when I can borrow motorbikes directly from the importers, I'll be able to ride a bike over several days and not only for two or three hours. P.S. My GoPro problems continued on this ride but this time it was mainly my fault in using the wrong recording mode with the 360 camera on the handlebar and so I couldn't use that footage. The few clips I used from that camera were actually from the other ride I made on this bike!
P.P.S. Sorry if you think this video drags on for too long, I tried to trim it but I guess I'm not good at deciding what stays in and what gets cut!

I own this bike, its an amazing commuter. Its amazong tourer , and this bike wil get you anywhere on any road
Much preferred this Strom DE 1050 over my 2019 GSA.

Like the gold rims Rikki and think I would rather be on this one than the bigger brother I reckon this one look miles better than the sportier GSX 8ES without a doubt 👍

The wheels do look very swish! The new 800 RE model could also be a great choice halfway between the DE and the GSX-8S. I might prefer that one out the three :)
OOO eeerr, try to get hold of the RE ;-] would be nice to see a comparison.

Yes I hope to be on the RE in next few weeks, as well as the GSX-1000GX, weather permitting!

Do you think I should change the rear sprocket to a 45 teeth to get the revs down?

I don't think I'd want to change the gearing personally - it didn't feel particulalrly low-geared to me.
I take it Rikky that you would go out on a second date with the Suzuki? Everybody is walking around in shorts and tee shirt’s in January!!

Yeah a second date would be great if she'll have me... be great if she'd let me be dirty with her 😂 We're not that hard around here - this ride was back in July 😊
