This man here is the reason why I went and get me a scooter, first one was a kymco xciting 500, now I have a burgman 650 executive. I'm obsessed with scooters
Oh My gosh you did a world class video with the split screen, CLOSE UPS, camera angles, crisp images, graphics and tool requirements and fast forward throughs the repetitive parts. It is undoubtedly the best instructional video I've ever seen. I have a 2004 Burgman and only watched it for fun but it was great. You did a very impressive job!!!!! You're the man!
If only all car / bike instruction videos are like this … excellent work Mitch.

@@MitchsScooterStuffciao scusami volevo sapere che tipo di sensore temperatura acqua monta il burgman an400 k7 del 2007? Hai qualche foto da mostrarmi? Grazie mille
Oh god scooter mechanic had more patience than anyone ....You had that one bro......Soo hard to fixing....Lots of body parts lots of screws......Dear lord, you done it with patience......🤝🤝🤝🤝
Mitch ... New subscriber and new owner of an 08 AN400, bought with 1570miles. I want to tell you how great your videos are. Very helpful and extremely well thought out. I watch your other videos too. Awesome job, and I love your spirit. We need more people like you in this world. Keep those vids coming ... 👍😉
At 32 500 kms I just finished checking the valve clearances (they were ok!) and replacing the antifreeze in my 2009 Burgman 400ABS. I followed your excellent videos step by step. I found the hardest was removing-installing the plastic fairings. Can't imagine doing this without your guidance. Only glitch was when I reinstalled the valve cover the spark-plug seal became displaced (as you mention to take care!) so when I started the engine, oil was coming out from a hole on the left side of the engine. Had to re-open the cover and re-install properly! As for the coolant change, after four drain and replenish with water, the liquid was still showing a light greenish color. I went ahead and fill with new coolant anyway. I can't thank you enough for your guidances and looking forward for your next maintenance videos!
Damn that's a thorough replacement, would never think of doing that many cleanings!
It's really great how you teach us step-by-step, excellent teacher, very patient!

Thank you so much!
I dont have this scooter. But I can promise you, if I did, the coolant would never get changed!
My God that is a quite a rivet festival... Suddenly, Ruckus seems so appealing :D

Haha yeah, Ruckus coolant is sooo much easier!
Great videos. One minor item. There is a sneaky little plastic clip behind the glove box metal catch that needs to come out to remove the radiator fill cover. Didn't see it at 4:50ish but I finally found it on mine. Thanks again for all these Burgman videos.
I dont even have a scooter but I just love to watch on how you do all the repair or replace anything on it. way to go man!

I don’t even own a burgman or any other scooter for that matter, but if I would ever have to do some maintenance on one I hope to find a tutorial as comprehensive as this one. Really impressive work!

What a pain that is. Get some long life coolant. Well done putting that lot back.
Very thorough job, get the feeling putting everything back correctly took a lot more time!
Great instructional video again! You are super thorough with your maintenance procedures. Most people would just let old stuff drain out, maybe flush "one time" with distilled water, and then fill it up and call it good. You make sure all old residue is completely cleared out before refilling which is the proper way of doing it as you demonstrated. Seems like for that model you spend 1/2 the time removing/replacing all the access panels than the procedure itself Lol. Hopefully you stay busy at your location keeping others scooters maintained. Nothing like making a little side money on a hobby you enjoy :-)
So satisfying how it all comes back together again. And also great job on the camera angles! :)
Simple and easy to follow steps your videos are so informative well done mitch
I just bought an 07, 400 with low miles. Your videos are great.
This certainly a very exacting video. Well done. It's exactly how this job must always be carried out. 👍👍
That was quite a lot of panels to remove and a very thorough flush, well done!

Yeah it's crazy! Thank you!
thank you for your work!! in the 80ties i was a mod and strictly a vespa rider, but as time has changed for me, i started to ride different scooters "without a style". all i can say is that honda made the best ones. The asia-market of honda gave the new limit. their scooters ride about 100000 kilometers and more with an easy sound. you find all the jewels for small money. your easy-surf-beach-style and feeling is so relaxing!!
I've watch all types of how to's on KZread. Usually to much BLAA..BLAA..and not enough instructional content. However this One Was Steller. Thanks

I'm surprised Suzuki has made sooooo hard to do simple things.Access Panels could have been made alot easier, Access to the radiator cap could have been placed under the lefthand stowage box, the radiator lower hose could have had an independant access panel or do away with stupid long panels and make a short panel to get at the hoses.Yes I'm a class 1 vehicle mechanic.
Well done, your video helped a lot. Hello from Russia
Man you are awesome, thanks for your videos, I have a Elite 80 and you have helped me a lot!!
Greetings from Puerto Rico!
You are the king, Muchas gracias !!!
Oh my GOD. I like my Burg400.....but seriously considering selling it after watching 26 minutes of coolant fluid replacement. Excellent, tutorial video. My old guy, local bike repair guy will probably NOT agree to attempt to get my Berg running again after its been sitting unused for 3 years. Only 2500 miles on it...second owner here. And the dealership in DFW will charge me a small fortune.
Excellent job , thanks for post
I'm So Excited!!
You know Mitch... I never get tired of watching you tear apart the Burg to do maintenance on her... but I have to say you sure do have to take a lot of panels off to do any maintenance on her... I guess that's why I still ride my motorcycles but now that the new Kymco AK 550 is out I just might have to get one to add to the stable of other ponies. Hope you are doing well.
this is a good guide, thank you man
Great job 👍
Respect, I doubt my mechanic would have done it better 👍
Very well done.
you are top of scooter man
Repair Master Bravo Good))))
Never thought I'd love a bike enough to blow it... but here goes!!!!!!
Love your videos Mitch! I have to be honest though.... To have to do that much just for a coolant change makes me not ever want to buy a Burgman! Honda's are sooooo much easier! I can change the coolant on my three bikes in the same amount of time as that Burgman! Anyway.... Still love your videos and will still continue to be a fan!!!

I don't think its necessary to go all out like he did with the syringe, blowing into the tube etc. I bought my burgman 11 years old never had any maintenance done to it. Engine never ran hot always right at the middle level. But since it recommended a coolant flush I did it. I just went under the pipe and popped that rubber hose off. At first nothing came out. I started shaking the bike and stuff then a decent amount poured out. Seems after 11 years the coolant evaporates or dries up but like I said it was still running fine. It was hard to get to the top thing to pour more in, I admit but not a huge deal. Then I loosened that one screw a bunch of air was coming out of it. I didn't bother pouring a water flush or get the exact amount in with a syringe or blowing through the hoses. The engine never even ran hot when it was half air in there when I bought it. The engine is so small it isn't likely to overheat. My Honda Rebel 250 (or just about any 250) doesn't even have coolant- its air cooled because its such a small engine. 400 is only a couple sizes up from that. If I were going to take a long trip like riding it hard on the highway all day I would probably put some new coolant in it but other that it will ride fine even with dried out coolant like when I bought it.

@@raymondkidwell7135 it is not that the coolant dries out. The coolant's additive package gets depleted. There are additives that do things like prevent corrosion, lubricate the coolant pump, neutralize contaminants, etc. Flushing the coolant is mandatory because of this and also because it removes any junk that has collected.
Ciao.. grazie ai tuoi video Il Mio K10 non vede più un meccanico.. mi faccio felicemente la mia manutenzione.. Sei un Grande.. 😉👍

Mitch how much would you charge for that job? You're an expert and it took forever to do. It must be damn expensive!!

Pro tip with these plastic panel keepers: always have a few extra on hand (you WILL break them, maybe not at first, but eventually) and there is a tool to make removing them easier and less likely to break.
Guyz very good video but pls 03-06 burgman videos
Amazing video, you have to open the screw to let air out like in the video 19:20?
Great 👍. Recently my Burgman overheated and F1 light came up. Can you please help to point out what could be issues. Thanks
Muito bom
Great job bro i want to ask u how much is the size of the rivets in mm 6-7 or 8
have always felt if you run 100% anti-freeze, although it may run a tad warmer, is that you never have to worry about corrosion or that kind of thing. have found it (100%) in vehicles and always was amazed at how clean everything looked, even after yrs of neglect.

Wow! That's one dedicated Mechanic! It is a disincentive to own one of these bikes; but it's only done once every two years?

hello, do you know any video to change the coolant in a burgman 400 of the year 2017. Thank you very much
Serious question: would it be bad to siphon out all the fluid instead of doing all this disassembly?
That was a lot of work just to change coolant and that was on a well maintained scooter, I bet many dealer servicees give that a miss or charge the earth for it.
Can you make an instructional video on how to replace the water tank essence on Bergman 400 manufactured after 2016? Thanks
Is that air bleed bolt the same on the 650?
👍
Hola bien Uruguay
I have blue in it,if i flush it completly can i use pink after ?
Is there such a thing of a fan relay on a 2005 Suzuki burgman 650
