A tip I was given when dealing with transmissions on cars is to open the filler bolt first, then you won't panic after emptying the old oil when you realise that you cant refill it!! cheers from the uk

Those two threaded holes above and below the bearing on the cover... run some 3-4" long M10 (I think they're M10) bolts through those... the cover will pop right off. It pushes on the bell housing. You're welcome :D

Good comment...It's M8 1.25/50 bolts. And you're right that they pop it right off. In case people don't know, you screw them in to the point where they stop then you turn them 1/2 turn each, to keep the pressure even, until they pop the cover off. Works like a charm.

@@jkro30a they should have just made a fill bolt accessible from the outside... instead of putting the fill port on the inside of the cover casing.

Watching from the UK here Guys, not just watching but very much enjoying, LOVE this video..Its such a shame that the main drive covers need to all come off to access just one filler point, shame it cant be external to cut down on Labour time...Well done Guys for the Video....

Man, the engineers really could have thought of an easier way to do this... Like, an accessible Bolt for the fill port... Jesus. There isn't a single scooter built today that makes sense.

Why don't you simply cut a hole in the cover housing (that lines up with the fill bolt)? You'll need an oil can to fill it. And yes, you can put the piece you cut out back in place - like with duck tape

I am a bit disappointed with this video. I bet the best part was removing the humungous cover. I did that once and was looking for a better way to take it off. I guess, short of using a sledge hammer and 2x4, and lots of newly invented curse words, everyone eventually succeeds. Took me 2 hours. You must have done a lot of editing ! Thanks anyway. Your objective was achieved.
