@CubanRevival well I am not into motorcycles... I love scooters for many reasons over motorcycles... but hey motorcycle and scooter have two wheels and motor in it.. I don't see why I should upgrade to motorcycle from scooter.. My dad used to have a goldwing, my brother used to have honda cbr, so I know what I like best for me :)

Mitch thanks for the informative video but I would have thought extracting the old coolant from the reservoir would be a natural process and then topping it back off once the coolant system was full. I also found out that on a previous coolant change with the previous owner of my 2013 Burgman one of the screw retaining clips on the lower side panel had broken off - any suggestions on how to repair it without having to buy a new lower panel???

I really enjoy your videos. I plan on getting one someday soon. What is a good price for a 2007 or 2008 ? And how many miles - can you get out of a motor ? I see one on craigslist 2007 with 9,950 miles for 3,500.00. How would I know what is a far price? Thanks Jims

Two years ago I bought a 2007 Burgman 400. Love the bike . This spring I changed the belt and if it was not for MicBergsma's videos I would not have tried doing it by myself. I fully realize that this probably is not the site to ask my questions but I need some response. Where can I get a passenger back rest. Suzuki no longer makes them for the 2007. I don't want the Box just a support for the passenger. I live in Winnipeg Manitoba but am prepared to order it from wherever it is available.

Hi. I like your videos. I want to buy a Burgman from the first generation made until 2002. Can you give me any suggestions? Can you make some videos also with the first generation of Burgman 400? It will help many people, because you can’t find any DIY video for that kind of Burgman. Thank you in advance.

Hello Mitch , your videos are very helpful to a new Burgman owner like me and i thank you for them. I have a question for you after watching both your videos about coolant. Don't we have to suck up coolant with syringe from reservoir when doing the simple coolant change without flushing?

I wonder if there is a posibility to suck with water vacuum cleaner the whole amount of old coolant trough that small whole and then fill it with the new coolant. The only problem is the screw you need to get to let the air out. Damn this is a lot to do only to change coolant.

When I press the start button, the lights dim out (normal) there is no click at the starter relay, no dash lights, no trunk light, no turn signals, but I did hear the fuel pump. The fuses appear to be ok, gonna get more tomorrow and replace. Is there a fuse link on a Burgman? I believe it is something simple, but.......... Could a faulty starter relay cause these problems?

Looking at putting the Suzuki skywave 400cc and variomatic into a Go Kart. Has anyone attempted this?

  • @vetryder

I don't have a manual for mine and I was just hoping to see how to access the cap so I can check coolant level. I see where it is but didn't see how to get to it. Plus now I see that doing a coolant change is far more bike surgery than I could ever attempt. Why do they design it so complex? I guess as I loathe my own mechanical ineptitude the shop will at least love me.
