At the beginning of the episode…I said that Hunter was going out by not playing his idol. Just the same old survivor story. People afraid of playing their idols get sabotaged….especially the alpha athletic players who claim to have an IQ. Horrible chess player. Hunter was beat by Charlie…so he was no Ozzie…and did not rely on his skillset to win the next challenge, by fearing to play his idol…so he was again no Ozzie. Hunter is why I quit watching Survivor for so long…it is torturous to watch players who get the IQ praise... go out with bad reads. And Hunter chipped at the D 1 football player…but the Science guy went home before "crazy". Yeah….regret comes from not learning history

He knew it he could feel it. He doubted his own self lessons learned. It was one way to stay safe and I don’t really completely understand why he didn’t do it since it was already known that he had the idle it was no secret he should’ve just played it and if it wasn’t him, he would’ve just taken the target off his back I don’t know not good play

why not play the idol though, and then go look for it after it goes back in the game? I mean if Q plays his shot in the dark, then was he going to play the idol? I think in this situation if you know votes are coming your way and you can't get them off of you, then play the idol and worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. I mean why not be 100% safe, with a 12.5% chance to find another idol (really 14% because Liz ain't looking) plus you have been at the end of all of the challenges with a chance to win. If anyone should have ever played an idol in that situation it should have been Hunter, because he still had outs on the other side, plus his shot in the dark when he didn't have immunity.

Hunter's main flaw was that he didn't form A strong early alliance.Tevin was a good partner but you need more than one person. They couldn't stay Nami strong And it cost him His 1 ally .He certainly gave us a lot of information in his exit interview,But in the end his strategy was flawed Should have played his idol Found the next 1 and 1Found the next 1 and won immunity He still would be playing the game

At least it made sense on why he didn't play his idol. I don't know though, a single vote your decision was riding on. I feel I would have just played instead of chancing it. Not like you are going to be making anybody mad with the decision.

It would be an interesting if they changed the rules so that you can play your idol after the votes are read. It would make more people keep it a secret and it would hold more power in the game, a reward for your effort in finding it, instead of it always being misplayed, not played. Idols, including immunity idols, are arguably more of a detriment than an advantage. Spencer arguably should have lost challenges on purpose until a later point in the game, which sounds crazy but it’s always an average player who ends up winning

I just knew Tiff voted for Hunter the way she looked after the vote. Honestly, as much as I would have loved Hunter to stay, her move was strategic as it easily gets Hunter out of the game, and if she didn’t it wouldn’t be as easy next time

but that makes not playing his idol an even bigger mistake, if he knew it was going to be that close! that means he was relying on a 100% accurate read on each player which is ridiculous, then i guess its fair he went home on that one.
