    All you have to do is loosen the motor mounts and frame mounts near the swingarm and it will open up slightly and you can easily slide the swingarm in place

    I found this vid looking for info on tensioning the drive belt. I notice how dang easy you were able to get it and I don’t understand😂 my bikes been down for 2 years but I just got new forks so I can get it going again (also replaced the belt) and I cannot get the tension tight enough. Is it the peg brace that makes it so you can pry down on the motor?

    Hi, do you recommend anyone with a little bit of knowledge with old Motocross bikes to tackle this as my nephew's drive belt has just snapped & i like your video as you show everything that needs to be done. How tight to you recommend the belt to be fitted (roughly) please, any help would be appreciated, thank you 🙏🏻

    After several belts you will know how to do it in 10 minutes without remouving swing arm, just remove the axle and motor pulley cover ;-). nice trick tho

  • @slicemyfinger
    @slicemyfinger Жыл бұрын

    I'm not knocking your method, I just wanna spread this idea across the surron community. What about ... Step 1. Taking off the chain. Step 2. Taking off the entire rear suspension. Step 3. Loosen the 4 motor bolts. Step 4. Taking the swing arm bolt out, and just lifting the jack shaft up and out keeping the swing arm still attached. Because every video I watched they all said putting the swing arm back on is the most difficult part. Placing the jack shaft back in with the swing arm still attached and reattaching the rear suspension then reversing the other steps seems like it would be easier. My belt comes today.

    Depends where you have the peg brace. If you have the brace in the back like I do that method does not work.
