The biggest challenge we face now is that we have players who grew with poch and you can see towards the end they really grew to appreciate him. Now they just took that away . Players like Nico whom many turnered , but not poch . Whomever you bring in WE MUST get the right person because we can have issues other player not meshing with the manager

I understand the players frustration man imagine having to start over after working so hard for consistency. Crazy man.

Poch had a philosophy which was at variance with that of the directors so there was no way he was going to have a say in recruitment. To suggest the new manager will not have a relationship with the sporting directors that will dove-tail into recruitment discussions is lazy. I support the new direction of the club and confident all we need is a young progressive manager who is a stylistic fit. Finally it will be disingenuous to downplay the failures of Poch just because you may not agree with the new ownership. I am confident the board will sign the right manager. Forget about all the names being put forward by the media. They have no choice but to get it right.

Also there was really only a handful of games all season where you felt the team had a hold of the whole game. If they want to create a possession based team then a fresh approach is needed, Leicester’s coach is the only one who fits this criteria out of all the names so far mentioned

Actually like the top candidates, glad de Zerbi is unlikely, our squad is much better than we realize but muted due to poor patterns of play going back to the time of Tuchel and poor fundamental coaching from Poch's staff. Think Ugochukwu, for example, can easily take over for Gallagher next season, and will be one of the steals of all the signings. Prefer his final third passing style to Enzo's, he was great in the final game. Carney will also explode very soon when healed.

Pochettino was handed a flawed squad: major long term injuries to key players, some replacements were simply not good enough to get the "job" done, others lacked characteristics to form a spine. So Pochettino had to improvise based on what the owners and technical directors permitted. I am willing to bet some of those milestones changed over the course of the season. Personally I do not believe he got what he was promised. Pochettino was always holding the short end of the stick. A massive hill to climb, given all the deficiencies he had to work with. Somehow he eked out 5 wins, 6th place. He never quit. He delivered some measure of success. Pochettino started to regain the trust of the players and fans. An imperfect system that got temporary results. He moved the chess pieces when it counted most and got the team into Europa. Let us wait and see the next chess move. Who are the pawns, knights, bishops, queen and king?
