They signed Poch because he was the only one which was willing to do exactly as they wanted. As soon as he questioned the process, he was out. Now they will sign the next manager who agrees to do exactly as they want and the merry go round, at the Clearlake Circus carries on spinning.

Seems more likec PR/club brief or spin. Pochettino definitely had issues playing injured, unfit players: Nkunku, Fernández, Chilwell, James. If the training was outdated and too physical then how come certain players kept up and were available for selection: Silva, Palmer, Jackson, Madueke, Mudryk, Cucurella, Gallagher, Caicedo, Disasi, Gusto, Chalobah, Petrović. The early Caicedo/Fernández pairing did not work as both tried to play as 8's. With everyone high, Caicedo was left vulnerable. Early days saw Mudryk, Madueke and Jackson defensively deficient. Compound that with failed experiments with LB, RB, #10, no #9. Failed, missed scoring opportunities only compounded matters. We inverted Cucurella when Fernández had surgery. The trio of Gallagher/Caicedo/inverted Cucurella had more cohesion. Palmer was our best RAM, did well as improvised #10, failed as a #9. Defensively the back line had issues with the exception of Gusto and mostly Silva. Weaknesses from Disasi, Colwill, Badiashile, Cucurella and a reluctance to use Chalobah when fit exposed our soft under belly. Left back and left wing in Chilwell's absence was not solved. Chelsea went right sided, creating a logistic imbalance. Simultaneously we never got the best from LM with Mudryk or Sterling. That is one major sticking point. Defensively those two did not do their fair share. Defensively Madueke got better towards the end. Squandered chances or turnovers were costly. Going forward yes but going back - tracking, defesive off the ball, no. The white elephants in the room: No LB and we trade Maatsen and Hall. No #9 and we trade Broja and laboured with Jackson, not trying any bench or academy players. Soccer IQ, first touch, accurately passing, decision making in the attacking 1/3 were challenging for inexperienced defenders and midfielders. Breaths of fresh air: Silva, Gusto, Palmer, Nkunku, Chukwuemeka when fit and Caicedo in the last 6 to 8 games. Glaringly goalkeeping, relying on an MLS gk to stabilize a leaking ship. Sánchez was a massive disappointment. Best players out injured. Forced to work with unfit, under performing players what realistic options available for the coach. We spend £1 billion but no striker or workd class goalkeeper. Tons of potential, future midfielders and strikers, but nothing for the present. He improvised once the reality set in come January through May. Roll with the punches. As ugly as it looked, slowly turned things around. Start to improve and work for wins. Especially in the last 6 games. Raised the bar, got results: 12th to 6th when it looked impossible, Europa soccer, 4th best team since January. That speaks volumes. Credit to Palmer, Silva, Gusto, Caicedo, Gallagher, Petrović and Chalobah! Work in progress - Madueke, Colwill, Jackson, Badiashile. Undecided on Mudryk and Disasi. James and Nkunku notable contributions when able to be on the pitch. To jump from 6th to 4th or 3rd, required reinforcements and reassurances. Pochettino knew he was lucky in 23/24. Next season was going to be more demanding. How flexible was the vision? How willing were the owners and technical directors ready to build on the successes of 23/24 - center forward, center back, left back, goalkeeper?

The owners know nothing about soccer and the sporting directors are not that much better. The fact that they are never seen or interviewed indicates insecurity. One of them played for Wigan and the other probably played Sunday League. Poch has trained Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, and Harry Kane. Who at the club or the Athletic is qualified to question his training methods? The Athletic guys look like couch potatoes who probably never played for their school teams I was an investment manager for a large US institution, worked on Wall Street, and managed a large portfolio of assets. People in the industry are probably getting worried about what Egbali is up to. The club is worth less than they paid, and he's supervising training, WTF? Poch played for Argentina in a World Cup with Simeone. I'm a Chelsea fan, and the club is on the wrong path.

Poch said in a Press Conference that no player was featured on the pitch with injuries or getting injections/taking painkillers. And couple days later broke the news about Enzo played with his Hernia Injury for weeks/months. Having to get injections/taking painkillers. This could have sliped when a bench player is effected. But not in case of a +100mil asset like Enzo. You simply cant risk the health of such a high value player. We never got real updates on W.Fofana or Lavia. He played Colwill one of the best CBs from last season as a LB. And totaly wasted his entire season. Mudryk had almost no development this season. He even let Chilwell play LW. Who performed terrible in that position. His in game management and subs were awful for like 30 games of the season. I dont get why we are making such a fuzz from parting ways. I was frustrated with Poch most times in the season, however, it became clearer what he was about as the season drew to a close. It was exciting again the football and results. Boom! "Chelsea and Poch parts mutually". Crap! One thing is clear with the new juvenile owners; it's all business. Football trophies is only tertiary to their plans. Brace up mates. Looks like long rough ride just beginning. Sad!!

I think the owners have painted themselves into a corner. It's funny too, because these are basically American finance guys and if you know anything about AFG is that they think they are SO SMART. Sometimes, they are. Sometimes it's ego. These guys think they can walk into a sport and revolutionize it is on full display. We have to state that first and foremost. The finance loopholes, the multiclub setup, the young players model, it's hubris of the highest level. I think when all is said and done and after 5-6 years when they're model has come to fruition, Chelsea will be a top 6 team, at best top 4, but they won't be like Liverpool under Klopp or MC under Pep...we'll be like Aston Villa. Sad.

Football is evolving and big clubs have to evolve with it. Outdated tactics are exposed and beaten on the pitch by young managers with great knowledge of the game and innovative ideas! Poch have antiquated tactics & Kompany's Burnley drew with him 2-2 with two red cards to Burnley in the first half!!!! Some of you fans just react emotionally & hastily without doing a logical analysis hence you guys don't get it!! Look how Alonso disgraced Tuchel over two legs in the bundesliga this season!! Makes sense why Kompany want Bayern as well!

One season is not enough to turn the club around with young players but no one has patience. It’s not easy for the players and coach with this constant changes. Wish Poch and the team the best.

In business good owners learn to listen to staff in order to improve the business. But not with Chelsea it seems. We will be lucky to finish top 6 as we are now back to square one and with key players sold. Our best midfielder and defender both leaving. Who replaces Gallagher ? The injured LAVIA lol ?

At the start of the season poch did not have a team, just individuals who had just been brought to the club. It was a mess - and everyone was saying that. At the end f the season we were starting to look like a team. Very unfair to blame everything on poch. He trained the players too hard - well the whole medical team was new. Maybe thats why all thr players were injured. He wants to keep Gallagher- well every chelsea fan wants that too. Probably made a fuss when loaning matsen and broja. His selection from the academy - 😂

One thing I don't hear no one talking about is the diversity in the squad how can you expect young Portuguese/Spanish players to integrate quickly if we have a coaching who only speak English? We've seen a number of young players struggle due to moving countries and adapting to the language and culture! If these boys flop it's all on these crazy directors ffs

Most managers have coaching assistants that speak multiple languages. That's why every modern coaching staff has a big team with them. English is a common language these days. Teams have translators and people that teach players language. This shouldn't be a problem these days. It never has been a major problem in the past.

Poch made some mistakes, every coach does, but he's a very good coach and overall did well. He's not gone because of his coaching performance. He's gone because there are too many things he and the SDs/owner don't see eye to eye on. So better to go now in a relatively orderly manner than in chaos later.

These owners and directors don't think football like you do Nini. Apart from these fine reasons, (which are not good enough to destabilize this team) how do you justify turning to Championship coaches and hoping to force them to leap to levels they've not grown to. To me, the ownership doesn't want to be questioned or have their ideas challenged. That was mainly why Poch had to go.

poch is right, the owners don't know what it takes to get what they want. and he worked out in the end. When a player comes back from injury and the physio just say his ready why do you expect the coach to take it easy on him, is it not the physio's that should work on getting the player ready for the intensity in training not the coach, somethings they call his fault is not even his job....

Think back to the season before - we were awful. Far too many new players coming in - unsettling the squad. Poch did fine in the end making sense of a messy situation, but I'm not sure ANY of the next linked coaches are good enough. I'll eat my words at the end of next season - but I think it's back to mediocrity 2024/5.

I sometimes take on clients who have less-than-realistic ideas about what is achievable -- in the hope that, with a little education, I can bring them round to my way of thinking. It works perhaps 25 percent of the time, and it's worth doing for the times that it pays off. But I've also learned to cut my losses and withdraw from the relationship when I see that there's no hope we'll ever have a true meeting-of-the-minds. Best to split before things take an uglier turn. I'm guessing Poch figured he could sell his ideas to the club. And if we'd had a great season it might have worked. But his laissez-faire approach didn't sit well with the board and a lot of the fans. An amicable divorce was in the cards, especially if you read between the lines over the past few months. The signs were definitely there, in retrospect.
