Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZread, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZread. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZread, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.

One of the greatest prog rock songs from the beast that is Supertramp. They say that Crime of the Century is not a concept album but there are elements of it within, making it similar to the likes of Pink Floyd's album "Another Brick in the Wall". The album has existential, anti-establishment and the quest for self-fulfillment themes and is best listened to from beginning to end. "Rudy", the main character is disillusioned and disinterested in the idea of conformity rather than education in "School"; these feelings lead him to further rebel in "Bloody Well Right". As we move through the songs, shy Rudy is unable to fulfill his dreams and becomes further and further disillusioned with life and humanity, diving into escapism and eventually madness. As morbid as this all sounds, it is meant to be taken in a satirical fashion as a warning to this possibility and to prevent this, humanity needs to concentrate on what is good about us and what we are capable of: Love, compassion, selflessness.

Every time I hear this I am reminded why I love this groovy tune. That BASS is so solid. So sweet. Like your take on school, questioning, and respect. Here is quote you might like: “The problem is not that people are uneducated. The problem is that they are educated just enough to believe what they’ve been taught. And not educated enough to question what they’ve been taught.” Unknown Now this makes me think how much you might like 'Gentle Giant'. They have the funkiest, coolest, grooves that are off the wall.

That opening harmonica note sends a shiver down my spine every time. The songs on this album are loosely connected - not quite a concept album, but there are links. This song leads into the next track, "Bloody Well Right" - which you'd probably like, too.

My favourite album of all time from my favourite band of all time. The musicians - Roger Hodgson, Rick Davies, John Anthony Helliwell, Dougie Thompson and Bob Siebenberg - are phenomenal but their ability to play multiple and often emphasize somewhat unusual pop/rock instruments (harmonica, saxophone, clarinet) I think too often overshadows their socially conscious and occasionally spiritual lyrics throughout their incredible run of 5 classic albums from Crime of the Century to Crisis? What Crisis?, Even In The Quietest Moments, Breakfast In America and Famous Last Words from 1974-82. Bloody Well Right is the song that begins right at the end of School and features an amazing piano intro by Rick Davies. Too many great songs to suggest off those 5 albums. BTW, I like or love every song on all 5 of those LPs I mentioned. I cannot make that same claim with any other group's five-album run. P.S. A complete joke and travesty that Supertramp is not in the Rock N Roll Hall of Shame, I mean Fame.

To your point Shawn, keep in mind as you're learning there was so much amazing music from so many great bands in the 70s and early 80s. We could only buy so many albums and the rock DJ's could only fit so many songs in their 4 hrs! It was a great problem for us all to have😊

The entire album "Crime of the Century" is a masterpiece. My favourite is the track is "Rudy" and I hope you'll react to it. Basically, the entire album is the story of Rudy who's about how he protests in many different forms and to many people, including his friends, his parents, and his teachers. He becomes dissillusioned from society. In "Rudy", Rudy has been put into a psychiatric hospital because he had a mental breakdown. The song itself talks about how Rudy has been let out and is able to co-exist in society, but is in a constant state of self-crisis. He tries to fit in, but really can't, and the line "He'll soon be back on his train," talks about how he eventually will accept that he will never fit in.

We have created this life to make humans cogs in "THE MACHINE ". We have to conform to be a good cog. I preferred to be the wrench in life's machine. I love thinking outside the box, not always, but feel free to be a free spirit.

For a while teachers were doing better. But then all of a sudden parents started attacking teachers for grooming and other such things. I haven't been to school in 50 years so I don't know but it's hard to believe that teachers by and large are trying to harm our kids. They're actually trying to teach them if all the other BS would just get out of the way.
