Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZread, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZread. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZread, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Do yourself a favor and watch the singer Dean Ford sing this again shortly before he passed. Just beautiful , his voice still pure and strong, reflecting on his life 💔

I watched that recently and found myself in tears. God bless him, so sadly missed RIP Dean 💔
Many years ago, my wife and I were thinking about what music we wanted to be played at our funerals. We both decided that this was the must be played tune at both of ours. Four years ago, this was the only song that I had played at her memorial service. And it will be the only one played at mine. We had over forty wonderful years together. There were some bumps in the road, for sure, but together we got through them all. Love and miss you, my little bunny.🐇

Beautiful. I think Old and Wise by Alan Parsons project is another time id like played at mine.
Every time I hear this song, it hits me so hard emotionally.
Takes your breath away, don't it? Wartime song
Marmalade are a Scottish pop rock band from the 60's. "Reflections Of My Life" was their biggest hit. They also did a version of the Beatles' song "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" which was very popular. Other songs were "Baby Make It Soon", "Rainbow", "My Little One", "Cousin Norman", "Radancer" etc.
So many golden little gems like this one from back in our youth that you may not have heard for years, but takes you back there instantly
Wow, I forgot about this song, but hearing it takes me back to a special time in my life in 1969. Great song!
When you grew up in the 70's and you got to listen to the 50's and 60's on oldies stations.... you were definitely a fortunate son
Viet Nam era song and soldiers, airmen and sailors related to this song making it the most requested song on Armed Forces Radio during the war.

It was the American Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS or "A-farts") for most of the war. The name change was supposed to be good PR.

I always heard it was "We Gotta Get Out of This Place". A few of my friends who served over there also thought it was. I don't have firsthand knowledge though, I was serving on the other side of the world in Iceland tracking Russian submarines.

@@user-ez6vk2bw7q It was Armed Forces Radio and Television Service right up to 2009, now it's just AFN, Armed Forces Network.

@@user-ez6vk2bw7q It really was Armed Forces Radio and also Television for the majority of the VietNam War. My father did a tour there and I listened to AFR&T to feel closer to him. This song played almost every half hour or so. It meant a lot. Thank you for your service.
BIG hit....it gets better with age too
There was another song just called "Reflections" by The Supremes from 1967. It was used during the opening credits of the TV show "China Beach".
a forever BANGER
❤️💔❤️💔❤️💔❤️💔😢I always have a small tear running down my cheek every time I hear this song . I have listened to it for 50+ years I cry every time.
Absolutely stunning, beautiful song... I was in the first grade in school when it came out! Still brings a tear or two after all these years.
Oh wow! I love this song plus growing up in the Vietnam War era it was a song that the troops related to and played alot. We heard it alot because of the special meaning. ❤🤍💙
A great tune still.
One of my favorites songs thanks for the reaction
Wow!! I haven't heard this in years! It was great to hear it again!!
Wow. Great blast from the very distant past ❤
This wonderful song became my favourite Marmalade song . But there are also others you may like. To go to a lighter mood, Lovin Things is a fine upbeat song. And they even performed a very good version of Jimmy Hendrix's Hey Joe. Among many others ;
Rainbow is another beautiful song
Great Song💜
Junior Campbell also had a hand in writing the theme from Thomas the Tank Engine.
Great song 👍
A classic from back in the day. Still has meaning today. Thanks.
Great song from a great band,Dean Ford had a wonderful voice
You can’t go wrong with these 60’s songs, this is a good one right here!👍👏👏👏🩵🩵
Go back and search out the video Dean Ford made a few years ago as a much older man and it shows him young and old performing this song. His last album before leaving us all is a tremendous album I would recommend to anyone.
❤❤ great song !❤❤ I haven't heard it in a long time. Thanks Shawn !
I wore this record out when it came out, still love these lyrics.
Chillzzz omg. I love this song so much
The way it jettisons you right back to the 60s, it is a Big song. Thanks for that Shawn.

Of course 😁
Vietnam War Era song ..I still can see in my minds eye my mom singing this❤
I felt a big Hollies influence also. Both bands a big inspiration to current rock bands like Redd Kross.
One of the perfect songs of my life. 1969 was a very good year.
Great choice!!
Checkout "Tea And Marmalade" by Tin Tin. People thought it was the Bee Gees.
Great request from Letitia for MARMALADE - Reflections Of My Life. Great taste in music from the heart.
So beautiful!
I totally forgot about this song that I loved so much back in the day! It spoke to my heart!!
Love that you hit the 60’s and 70’s so often👏🏻🔥👍🏻
An early 70s song if I remember correctly.
Just pure music.glad you liked it. It's a throwback time
I think they did a (synched) version on the Midnight Special which is a great source of great reactions.
I haven't heard this in so long I had pretty much forgotten about it. Great to hear at again after all these years. I loved it when it was first released. Great reaction too!
Good call on the comparison to the Hollies song. Soaring emotional songs
great tune! thanks!
What a big beautiful song.
One of the great ones hit wonders.
Psychedelic: “IN-A-GADA-DAVEDA” by IRON BUTTERFLY great song ,very famous guitar riff , got guitar, drums and keyboard and a big drum solo.

Thanks, I do have an old reaction to that one 😁
Yes… this is one A M A Z I N G song! Just beautiful. Enjoyed your reaction!
I knew all the words but the last two, "old home", which is kinda hard to hear. I thought it might have been "Take me back to my honor.'. Even the CC closed caption went silent at that point. Rinds me of BeeGees. Great harmonies. Smooth lead vocals too.
Beautiful song!! Beautiful Voice!!! (I saw a different video of this group doing this song I swear it was a different lead singer??)

I know what you're talking about. I remember the colour video with singer having blonde hair? Maybe the b & w video made it look different? I'm going to try to find that colour video to see.
❤❤❤
You would love the acoustic version Dean (lead singer and writer) did a few years ago just before he passed - kzread.info/dash/bejne/dqJtxKOvh7aagrg.html
This is a song from the time of the Viet Nam war. Listen to it in that context, it makes a difference.
As a left-handed guitarist, I can say we are well-represented, but not so often I'll see someone playing with the strings upside down. Dick Dale maybe.

And Jimi Hendrix and Albert King!

@@ptournas Albert King, yes. Jimi played with a guitar upside down, not the strings.
@ptournas
Ай бұрын
@@futuregenerationz Interesting. All these years I thought he flipped the guitar without changing the strings. I got that impression many many years ago when I read an interview with Mick Taylor telling of first meeting Jimi when Mick was playing in a small club in London and someone told him there was an American in the club who asked if he could borrow his guitar and play a song. He said he flipped his guitar and played it upside down and he blew everyone away. Since he never mentioned restringing I assumed he played it just like King played his Flying V. So thanks for the correction, I've had it wrong for about 50 years! Unfortunately I never got to see him live, I was in the Navy for most of his career.
Thanks for that reminder. They were a well thought of UK 'pop' band who developed into better things like this, then unaccountably disappeared?
There's too much beauty around us to lay waste to your own life -- you just can't make this life all about you and what you want. Be the love you wish to receive, and not just a romantic love which can often be done selfishly
they were many countries who lost a lot of lives in wars! it is sad!
Recognised as the “ anthem “ by the soldiers who served in Vietnam !
The singer in this video is not Dean Ford.
Absolutely great song, much of their other stuff was pretty average, but this was outstanding
Big song, you do such a good job of describing your reactions.
Vietnam
Dude, Ob-la-di ob-la-da is a Beatles cover.
The band was from the UK, the song never says anything about war, yet, for some reason, this song was regarded as a Vietnam War protest song here in America back then. Go figure!
A British band but the song resonates more with a generation of Americans.
Really surprised someone requested this one. Not that it’s not a good song, just a little obscure.
