Their sound production has always been top tier, not just on their albums, but they were the few band who cared enough to do top notch sound production during their concerts. Other bands that came to mind that was top notch was Yes and The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Robert Plant: they are cared about their music, and were fussy with their sound production.

Even if your not a fan of the song, you'll appreciate the angle they're taking on it. Amongst the songs you may want to consider is one from I believe their last album - CANNONBALL" - great bumpin base and some outstanding sax, xylophone, and upbeat tempo. Keep up the good work guys !

Ah music of my youth - Crime of the Century was the second album I ever bought (after Dark Side of the Moon). I have always loved them because I was a keyboard guy then - as I got older I came to really appreciate all the other aspects of their music. During the instrumental bridge, I always loved the piano line but now the bass line driving behind it always jumps out at me. This is one of those albums (like Dark Side) that I really need to listen too end-to-end. You've already done Rudy and Bloody Well Right - would suggest the tracks Asylum and Crime of the Century Note, I also saw the original Crime of the Century tour - was amazing

I can only speak from my experience with growing up as a teenage boy in the 70s here in the Midwest , I gotta tell you most teenage boys snickered at Supertramp ! They were not hard rock like Zeppelin , Pink Floyd , Rush , I loved them , Every time I had Supertramp tickets I had a hard time finding someone to go with me !? But now as adults all my buddies from back then love Supertramp now ! I honestly believe maturity played a big part in that !? Not only did I love their sound because my mother played the piano and my father played the sax , But as a teenager there lyrics spoke to me like you wouldn't believe ! I have Supertramp tattoos , Every time Roger Hodgson comes to Saint Louis I'm there front and center !

If you ever decide to react to a full album, this would be a great one to do. not a bad song on it. Sadly, reactions to "School" always leave me feeling a little empty, as on the album, "School" goes immediately into "Bloody Well Right", so I am always ready for that fantastic piano intro from "Bloody Well Right" to start as the last note fades on "School". if you listen to the album, you will see what I mean, the 2 songs were made to go together.
This is my first time hearing this song. When that piano solo (ish) dropped, I got tears in my eyes it's so good. I love this! Thank you.

I'm sure glad you fellas enjoy this band, it's one of my favorites too. I love how uniquely different Rodger Hodgson's vocals are, and I'm always impressed with the bands whole approach to the type of instrumentation they use to the topics they choose to speak about. Always leaves you questioning things and simultaneously the superb instrumentation is keeping your brain feed with notes of pure ear candy🍬 Either way, you're always being engaged mentally, just beautiful stuff, bro.🎶🤗 It is said, that the strumming guitar section in the intro to this song "School" was a foreshadowing of a similar approach used on Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in The Wall (Part 2)" which is a centerpiece of the band's 1979 concept album "The Wall" 🤔 Here's another song by Supertramp, if interested. "Supertramp - Dreamer (Live in Paris 1979)" This song "Dreamer" is another hit single from their album "Crime of The Century" album. Please do the live version. Wonderful reaction guy's as always

One of their absolute best: as ever, the arrangement and production is impeccable, but this stands out for me because the Rick-Roger synergy is spot-on (where it's sometimes unequal), and I always like it when Roger plays electric, which he too seldom does. The following track Bloody Well Right is sort of a companion piece, and really needs to be listened to in tandem with.

Here's the thing about Supertamp, and about their 3rd album, Crime of the Century. You guys giving your reaction to their music, it's the same as mine when I first heard them back in 1973. They are DOPE. Some history: Back then there were high end stereo/audio stores. If you were a serious audiophile, these places were the only place you shopped for audio equipment. Each place had sound proof listening rooms where the store rep could activate exactly the turn table you wanted to hear, the speakers, amps, tuners, EQ's, ....everything by hitting switches. You could being in your own albums to play to hear the sound system you wanted to buy. If you didn't bring your own albums in, EVERY STORE had a selection of the best produced most technically perfect albums you could borrow in order to hear the equipment you were thinking of buying at its finest sound. These albums were the finest examples of sound perfection. The albums these stores always had in hand: Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon Steely Dan - Aja Supertramp - Crime of the Century

One of the cleanest produce albums of all time, and you have to listen to the whole album because that’s what they were making an album not hits. And that all started with Sergeant Pepper, we’re all the songs were kind of linked, and every song was produced as good as the one before it no fillers.

Crime of the Century is my car CD player now, Always in summer, especially with the top down. 🎉 Great reaction on this and all the Supertramp you've listened to. Make sure you catch some live performances too. 🎉
Crime of the Century was criminally good.
Crime of the Century is a all time great album.
it puts a huge smile on my face to see you guys experience these guys magic!!!!
Woo hoo! This what a hit when I was in middle school! I was in marching band and my friends(drummers) used to put this album on in the band room(on reel to reel tape!), and Man did that sound great ! Band room was made for acoustics and speakers throughout the room! Supertramp fan since then!❤️❤️❤️
I love the drums rolls together with the piano, and then the piano solo explosion. Imo Crime of the Century was (by far) Supertramp's best album.
GREAT REACTIONS GUYS..!!! 👏👏👏LUV WATCHIN A YOUNGER GENERATION GETTIN TURNED ON TO AGELESS MUSIC… ROCK ON 👊🖖
Guys, listen to Supertramp song Even in the quietest Moments, think you’ll enjoy it. The fact you listen so closely and appreciate this band speaks volumes to your musical experience and intelligence Love you guys ! 👍
Absolutely loved your reaction! I have been waiting for you guys to get to "School". This was the first song I ever saw them play live and I was hooked and turned so many people onto this band. The first time I saw them in concert was on this tour and they came out and played this album start to finish in order. That was the show, and the crowd was in awe. Hopefully you do all of this album and then the Crisis What Crisis album before you jump into their other albums. Enjoy the journey gentlemen because it will be a hell of a ride!

Crisis is one of their best albums and overlooked by casual fans familiar with just the hits.
Men, i’m so glad you enjoyed this music from “my good old days”! Great reaction, thank you❤️
How lucky was I to be the right age at the right time to see all the great bands of the 70s arena rock era.
An absolute MUST HEAR inspirational & uplifting treat for your ears,, Argent "Hold Your Head Up"...Trust me on this one my music lovin' brothers.
To not have this in your top 10 desert island albums would be the crime of the century.
Yeah, turn that shit up! Had a buddy that played this on his home stereo back in the day as loud as we could take it. Great intro
They would start their concerts with this song

I saw them open with “Hide In Your Shell” on two different tours. Any tune they choose works for me.
Amazing album
Their sound production has always been top tier, not just on their albums, but they were the few band who cared enough to do top notch sound production during their concerts. Other bands that came to mind that was top notch was Yes and The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Robert Plant: they are cared about their music, and were fussy with their sound production.

A&M Records was an amazing record label.if you think Supertramp sounds good you should check out Gino vannelli Gist of the Gemini 🤯
Love you two! I had huge speakers when this came out. My neighbors were not amused, but they knew who the best bands of the 70's were! 😊❤
SUPER DOPE and SUPER CREATIVE! A True GEM!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Supertramp was on my Mom's regular rotation. Whenever I heard that harmonica intro start, us kids knew the house was getting cleaned from top to bottom that day! Good memories.
Love that 70's technology, you can still hear the tape hiss, even in the quietest moments. LOL. "School" is my favorite song off of COTC, except, "Asylum", "Hide In Your shell", "Bloody Well Right" and...
The middle section of that song actually reminds me of Green-Eyed Lady by Sugarloaf. It's a total jam and I bet you guys would love it if you have not already done it. Crime of the Century by Supertramp is also a masterpiece in my view.
Love this track. Back in the 70s every medium to high end stereo shop had this LP in the listening room. Nothing like hearing it blasted by a Pioneer SX-1280 through a huge set of Cerwin Vega speakers.
"Supertramp, is super dope." Love your reactions! Keep you the great work!
They were amazing in concert!!!
What a pleasure watching you guys reacting to one of my all time favourite bands. I loved them in thev70s and still not tired of them.
Lol 😂 Che “Supertramp is super dope”!!
See this LIVE guys! Roger is playing that cool guitar part and lead vocals then Rick "soars" on that piano part as usual! And look up Roger Hodgson -on KZread He's still performing this song with a different bunch of musicians but it's all Roger anyway. WONDERFUL!
You guys are producers - little wonder you've been hooked by Supertramp. Load all their music and hit random play - you just won't be fast forwarding.
Without trying to compare both bands but when I was a kid in 1975, Crime of the Century was almost on par with Dark Side of the Moon. Different bands. But what I grew up on. Thanks to my older brother Dave who introduced me to both .
We saw Roger Hodgson (the lead sing er on this song) live a few years back. He performed many classic Supertramp songs that he had written. It was a perfect show. No flash, no dancers, just a perfect performance.
They were classic rock, they were progy, they were creative musicians and they kicked ass!!!
…….”Super Dope” yeah !! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great reaction! Although they were huge during their time, especially around the release of Breakfast in America, I've always felt that they were underrated in retrospect and historically. However, they've been getting a lot of love from you reactors and justifiably so! This was my favorite LP from them, but BIA has soooo many great tracks as well. Masters of dynamics (the build ups and drops) and love their use of a full range of instruments (ie. clarinet, etc.) 🔥

under rated? they were big since indelibly stamped and were huge when crime of the century came out. 1980 was a bad year since both breakfast from supertramp and duke from genesis came out and a big slice of my prog youth had disappeared.
It's a high. Thanks guys. Always enjoy seeing you getting hooked by a song. Blessings. 🙏
I've been watching many reaction videos and love you guys,..keep up the good work, and spread the good vibes,... I've seen Supertramp 4 times in Montreal growing up,..this album specifically came out in I believe 1974 I was around 15,..it was one of my favs for sure,.. saw the concert that released this Crime Of The Century album at the Montreal Forum,... the cover song rocks,....
So glad you are doing Supertramp. Such an amazing band.
This definitely qualifies as a magnum opus track. I’ve always loved this song. And best live performance I ever saw was for my graduation present at 18 years old at the 3000 seat Memorial Auditorium in Burlington, VT. First stage show I ever saw with a projected movie screen in the background. And they sounded just awesome, just like their sound from the studio track. Hands down best concert I’ve ever seen!
Gotta watch the live version gentlemen
Another great track from the Golden Age of Music - the 70s. Supertramp were part of the tapestry and School is a banger!
My favorite Supertramp song. Came out in '77. Have this album and their Breakfeast In America album.
I’ve been waiting for this. Will post after too!

All these years later, this song still resonates for me. I often listen to this whole album on the drive to visit my daughter. Perfect music to lose yourself in for about an hour. Your reaction to it was not surprising. Glad you enjoyed it.
I could tell they had you at the "waka-waka" sound from the guitar.
Super cinematic.i cant wait for you guys to hear gone Hollywood,im surprised people haven't said anything about that one but it's a beast also
I was wondering when you guys were going to get around to this one. To see what great musicians these guys are, you should check out "School, Live Paris 79"
My favorite Supertramp song. You guys should check out Alan Parsons Project. Similar sound.

I haven’t heard that comparison before.
Really glad I came across your channel. Thank you for the thoughtful listening to the music. And when stopping it, going back. Great old song from my school daze lol Cheers!!
I remember going to listen to this LP with an acquaintance at Uni when it was first released. The record shop had a listening room upstairs. I can remember listening to the haunting harp at the beginning, with the moaning underneath gradually getting louder, and then the sounds from a playground with a piercing scream just before the song hits top gear... nothing like it before.
My favorite Supertramp song, and one of my favorite instrumental solos of all time, from an era when arrangement and production values meant something.
L❤VE this one guy’s!
Glad to see you react to this. It's one of my favorites of theirs. Especially love the bass. You should see them perform it on their Live In Paris video. The whole concert video is awesome.

Thank you.
So cinematic
This was the end of school yr in Jr high song blasted over PA!!!!
Great pick of one of the greatest albums ever...Even in The Quietest Moments is another great album.
It's so nice to see you guys enjoy the tramp and really understand the quality of these gentlemen
The whole Crime of the Century is great!
Love your reactions as you really listen and buy in to what the bands are doing and understand the effort involved in the production and techniques used. Supertramp are a great source for you to mine.
Thank y'all so much for this reaction, I've been waiting for it. Gotta love the piano play in this classic.
The live version is spectacular!
Supertramp are amazing in Concert, they don’t miss a trick!
Most definitely more than well worth your time,, Robert Cray "Smoking Gun"
Another legendary classic,, Vanilla Fudge "You Keep Me Hangin' On"...If you know,, you know!!
EXCELLENT SONG DUDES 😅😊
Great, again "Live in Paris" !! Their use of the Wurlitzer piano is unmistakable !!
Superb composition. One of their best. Hodgson excels and always reminds me of my schooldays
One of the best albums ever
I’ll never forget the shock the day I bought this cassette in the 80s and dropped it into the tape deck, it blew me away! 🎸🔥🥁💣
Saw them when it was last with Roger Hodgson. Was excellent! I'm 65 years old now but every time I listen to the Crime of the Century album, I feel like I am in my teens! ❤
Another epic masterpiece of their's is Fools Overture from their Even in the Quietest Moments album.
Love that song ! "Take the long way home" is also an amazing one, you should enjoy 😉 Thanks for this great reaction, as usual 😘
Never saw Supertramp live, however I did see Roger Hodgeson outdoors at a casino here in the Pacific Northwest a few years ago. I believe he still tours, and it's worth seeing as he plays a lot of Supertramp songs.
Such a cool record. Classic
Thank you gentleman for listening, and learning and loving the music of my generation. This music will never die. I will bet that the likes of Kanye or Beiber will last as long as the the classic rock of the 70's.
I waited for this Album to come out as a teenager. The musical arrangement is Epic, but the Lyrics spoke to me at that time, like few songs ever did. I lived and breathed Supertramp for a few teenage years. Good Memories.
And that all started with Sergeant Pepper, we’re all the songs were kind of linked, and every song was produced as good as the one before it no fillers.
such a sound.....
School is complete fire!
