THANKS for the tip re: miso instead of no-chicken paste. I can't get the no-chicken one in my country.
FYI everyone , she was NOT lying about the strength required not to eat all of the cauliflower before the recipe is finished. I’m sitting in the kitchen now full of joy at how good this is like 🤩 It the first thing in years that reminds me of fried chicken 😋
Ok so I made this tonight for my non vegan friends and their comment was "If you're trying to make us go vegan it's working!" 😂 Such an amazing recipe thankyou for sharing!

This is one of the best things I’ve ever made! And I went to culinary school and cook 5+ nights a week! Only change I made was to add a little ginger. It was incredible! (Oh, and I grew up in Champaign, so I know the exact General Tso’s that inspired it. Hehe)
Love this! Please upload more of your amazing recipes on youtube for those that prefer youtube over instagram TV :)
ITS LIKE FREAKING CRACK !!! AHHAHA

I needed this channel so bad.
I love your food videos and I just requested your ebook. I love your family stories and photography. You’re a great storyteller with great vegan recipes!
Cruncy cauliflowers are my favorite of all times. I'm drooling on this one, especially watching you each time eating it right from the frying pan in the corner of your kitchen. You're a smart lawyer and hilarious home chef!
Apparently red cabbage is considered the best/most nutrient vegetable for the $$. Love it!
Drooling! ❤️
Looks good. Love the knife. Thank you for linking it.
That is making me drool ! It looks aaaaaah-mazing.
Cannot wait to try this, I need to pick up a few things. Looked amazing.
Fabulous! Can't wait to try it out
omg YES you have a KZread, I decided to leave tiktok for the sake of my mental health and I missed you! Also, I really like substituting the cauliflower with broccoli, it adds more dimensions to the taste. (Especially if you're like me and u don't have any oyster sauce) I use miso instead of the soy sauce sometimes too, although I have to add more water after that.
This looks so delightfully fantastic. Definitely going to make & just added ingredients to my shopping list. Yummmmm
This looks delish! gotta try this.
That looks insanely good.
This is an extraordinary delight. The senses are firing away!
Excited to make this. Also, that julienne tool she uses is awesome! I am going to have to get one of those.
Oh my... I remember that onion recall. I hated going without red onion. Nice recipe girl! Love it!
Thank you for this amazing ideas and for your passion added to your videos 🌷❤
This dish looks so delicious. I will be making it tomorrow.
Ok so I was expecting this to be a good recipe... it's actually super extra good wtf I am going to cook it every week, and definitely when I have guests at home! Thanks a lot for sharing this!

jesus that looks incredible
Man that looks good...!!
Tried this tonight and we loved it. I didn't make it vegan - used real milk, regular oyster sauce. I also didn't use all the dried chilis but substituted chili flakes instead. I fried the cauliflower in 3 batches in a 10" cast iron skillet, with about and inch or so of vegetable oil. I'd never used the vegetable base before, but I like it. This, the gochujang and the maple syrup make a nice sweet, spicy, balanced sauce. Will definitely make this again.
This looks delicious! Going to have to pick up some cauli!
My husband's favourite vege is cauliflower, and he will go mad over this. Thank you.
Another delicious looking recipe
Just bought a cauliflower yesterday and wondered how I was going to prepare it. I don't wonder any longer.
Thank you for always filling our bellies and our hearts! 💖
I just made this for dinner and it was so delicious. We enjoyed it very much. It’s also a beautiful dish 😊. Thank you for sharing.

Not gonna lie this is kind of refreshing seeing a regular recipe video lol
Yes yes, share your thoughts and recommendations on kdramas, please. Eating your Tso' Crunchy Cauliflower as I type. OMG! Thank you. ❤️
OMG...I am salivating! I will be making this soon! I am not a vegan, but if I keep seeing dishes like this, I will be!!! I need to cut out foods that are high in purines. Thoughts on using jackfruit in this dish? I've been told it kinda tastes like chicken and it can resemble it too.
I love your videos ❤️
UIUC Mandarin Wok is a classic ❤️
Yummm 🤤🤤🤤can you plzz recommend a good wok pan?
I need to try this. Need more uses for gochujang
🤤🤤🤤🤤♥️♥️♥️♥️ I need to go out n buy cauliflower....damn
Anyone who uses maple syrup as a sweetener is a friend of mine. Great Channel!!
Yummy 🤤
putting gochujang on everything will make it better :D
🤤🤤🤤
do you add two different soy sauce to reduce sodium content? That dish looks amazing! Can't wait to try it! I typically don't cook deep fried foods. Was wondering what do you do with leftover oil? Put it in jar, let it harden and throw away? Thanks!

Hi! I do it to add depth of flavor. :) and I re-use it for the same dish only. Otherwise try using an air fryer!!!
I discovered earlier that when julienning the carrot, rather than holding the carrot with your hand stick a fork in it and hold it there instead. I personally found it way easier, my fingers were out of the way and I was able to julienne more of the carrot. :)
Bravo
I’m wondering if it’s possible to create vegan piji jige? Have you tried this? Also, have you posted a vegan chap chae recipe anywhere? Thank you! Just saw this channel on KZread. Loving it!
OMG I'm so hungry and breakfast isn't for another hour.... whyyyyyy do I watch recipe videos on KZread when I'm hungry!?!
Omg Mandarin Wok & Tang Dynasty were the two restaurants there!
Hi could you please share the recipe for “Korean garlic stuffed buns”.
Wait, so champaign urbana? Sweet!!
Made this tonite but used potato starch instead of corn. Cauliflower did not come out as crunchy as I wanted. Next time stick with corn starch I fried a few oyster mushrooms with it and perfect crunch.
You go former Urbana girl. I'm still here and loved Mandarin wok.

I make something similar at home by the name, cauliflower manchurian. It would be better if you dry coat the cauliflower and the dip it into a mixture of water, refined flour, cornflour, salt, some spices and then fry it.

How would it be better?
Hi, I just subscribed to your channel! Quick question: Regarding this recipe- I was doing some reading online and read that cornstarch isn’t a healthy ingredient. Is there a good substitute you can recommend?
Just found the video and plan on having meatless Monday’s with the family. What way would you suggest other than frying the cauliflower .... I was thinking roasting..... I know the sauce probably won’t coat it as well but I just prefer not to fry it. Also if I do roast do you think I should modify the initial marinade since I would not be using the corn starch to fry?
@kimlee205

U should still use corn starch Like years ago I made something similar with brokkoli u need to use enough oil so that u got like too much oil in there(get what I mean?) like the oil should be standing 0,3mm in the pan at the beginning so that u used almost all at the time u "fried" all of them And u need that starch as it adds texture it will be taking a lot time and it is a bit messy I only did it once as it was quite a lot of work (but tasted super delicious my family loved it) but u will get a little bit better in the process of doing so if u experiment a bit My Tipps aren't professional but I can tell you I got a bit of experience cooking vegan dishes now and the starch is needed, otherwise u got to prove me wrong I think a wok might be working as well or if u want to put it in the oven (is that what u meant?) I have no idea but I could imagine that even there starch could help by giving it a coat so the cauliflower itself doesn't like shrink but instead the starch gets roasted If u try tell me whatever u did!
Oh man I didn’t know you went to UIUC!
...Mmmmmmmmmmm ❗️❗️❗️... God is good...🇺🇸
Looks delicious but I avoid frying. Any suggestions 😩
Come to your channel just to hear your stories
What is the use/benefit of using both regular and light soy sauce?
recipe looks great, but what do you think the music in the background adds?
🙏👍👍👍👍
Love that "no chicken" better than bouillon
what about air frying the cauliflower, think that could work?
darn I dont use any oil. Looks so good.
I have powdered gochujang, not the paste. Could I use that instead and if so, how much of it? Thanks.
Hi! New follower here. Loved the content, your voice, the whole vibe, and the recipe looks wonderful. Can I make a constructive criticism though? The camera moving so much through the first part of the video (guess its either on the table or the chopping block) was a bit distracting and made the experience less enjoyable. Not sure if this changes in later vids, so my apologies if it does. Thank you!
Personally for me I like to chop them into finer pieces it's more bite sized that way
The Algorithm has selected this video. Congrats!
I sort of wish there wasn't music in the background but it looks good
This is an upgraded version of Gobi manchurian

Where did u get your spider basket?
Can I use frozen cauliflower? Please let me me know what you think.
@globalcitizenn

I don’t think it would work with frozen
Oh shittt you went to Urbana too??
Do you throw away all the oil after ?
This is like Indian Gobhi Manchurian
Does anyone know how i can replace the vegetable base?
i don’t know if i read the recipe wrong, i think i did 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. i think it came out too salty :( any recommendations?
How is deep frying things healthy?
I don't like cauliflower ... but thinking I can make it with mushrooms .. God have mercy
