Nothing wrong with a 4 door! I'm loving my 61 4 door Impala. Just put disc brakes on it by following your video on the 1962 impala disc brake conversion lol

I drove a 3spd yesterday, my 28 roadster. Went to the Humdinger car show in Pengrove (nor cal, Sonoma county) I won best flathead.

My girlfriend in 66 had a 57 4dr belaire sedan. Same color but with a white top. It had a 283 and a powerglide.

Doesn,t matter how many doors its still a 57 and I know lots of people would love to get their hands on a nice clean unit like that one

The roof line is the same as a two door , check DD speed shop , he has done quite a few conversions , you can put two door doors on it and move the post back or buy the quarter panel with the post to do the conversion , it's very common to do now.

Dont get rid of the red Dice. Nice car.

Do a 2 door conversion like DD Speed Shop did on many.

Yes I've driven a three speed transmission. (stick) in fact my first car was a 3spd overdrive with a hurst . It was a 56 Chevy sport coup. (belaire) why use an automatic transmission. Is that a millennial thing? Leave the sterring column. Just take off the lever. If you are putting in an automatic transmission, just use a floor shift and leave the cumn in the car. Paint the fenders and firewall a matching color. Paint the inner fenders satin black. Put in a good(pre 63) 327 or 283, done.

Nothing wrong with the four-door. We have four doors we have two doors no hardtops no convertibles. A couple of the wagons are two doors not nomad. I got two door post I'd be a perfect black widow clone. And it's the same color green as what you got but you may not call it green. So is the four-door just not near a shiny. I got to patina four-door Bel Air 70,000 rich on Miles 283 high output. Unfortunately somebody took the intake and carb and air cleaners off it before I got it. You might be surprised how many of those desirable 283s dual quads are in four-door Bel airs. I got the daguettes rubber as well on them as well as the auxiliary push guard for the bumper on the original black 57 2 door wagon. And the 283 because it was a V8 card to begin with still sitting under the hood. In my day the only thing that station wagon was good for with storage parts car or the drag strip. Don't do dare part out that four-door. Put it together. I have the cast iron 57 Chevy powerglide which isn't as good as the aluminum power glide but it is the factory original. Transmission. 283's and 235 straight 6s. I think you may find an interesting how desirable that straight six would be in that car with some Hispanics and Latino groups. I said some because can not lump everybody together. But the 235 is pretty popular they like to put it in the other cars too. 235 is also good for engine replacement of Babbitt engines in the earlier cars and trucks. Well did you really like this and I see that he bought your grandfather's 55 I was going to say if you want to 38,000 original mile 55 four-door the same color we've got one. It's only been in family for 50 to 60 years. Enjoy watching your episode and look forward to others.

Thanks for sharing, enjoyed reading. And to clarify we wouldn’t part this car out, but if another 2 door 57 came around and that 2 door 57 needed front and rear bumpers, interior parts, etc, this car would be a perfect car to take those said parts from and use on the 2 door 57 Chevy. Rob from Peter and pay Paul. But yes, our current goal is definitely put the car together and drive it and enjoy it the way it is.

@@ZHPGarage some people modified of front seat and make it a split so it works on two-door properly. I don't remember where you located or if I even know. But is it a two hardtop. it's a mess. Seems like he wanted $1,900 for it. Look up Springfield Missouri Craigslist. This guy sells a lot of old car stuff not just cars but parts. And there's several old salvage yards mostly private easily within 3 hours of there. He has it listed as a two-door sports coupe. He has sports coupe in quotation marks. There's a few up in Minnesota that I know of. I'm just out of yard two weeks ago and he had 400 cars 1940s through 1970. I went to another yard that had 150 of them same thing. I personally like watching it on KZread now instead of chasing them like I used to. I'll watch somebody else chase the old cars. How do I plan to buy about three of them in the next week. I personally have a two-door post builder. Just FYI. Also if you did end up using that car for a donor car I'd be interested in the four-door tub left over parts. I enjoy your channel and good to see the enthusiasm about the vehicles. By the way I've got lease one station wagon from 6162 63 and 65. And I know where there's a 1960 station wagon. Along with a four-door 60. And he had a pair of them from the other guy for 2,600. They've been cannibalized but the bodies are complete including the original rust okay I'll leave it at that just throwing it out there for your consideration. I think it's 10x cooler because it's a 4 door NOBODY tricks them they all use them as parts cars for 2 doors how much more pissed would someone be to get gapped by a 4 door???? only differences between a Belair and a 210 is Trim and the Dash Belair has Gold script badging in places as well as the V badge on the front and rear while 2210 just says Chevrolet in silver 210 doesn't have the fender vents 210 doesn't have the dash trim, and the center section and horn ring are different other than that, same exact car.

Nothing wrong with four doors.lets see you buy a two door for what you paid foor that one.

Probably but if any conversion were done, a 2 door conversion would be the way to go

No completely different structure.
