We don't get the types of shells you get here in the UK we don't find anything special, I love the giant cockles and pen shells you get over there

It's amazing to see the difference of shell life around the world! What is the most common shells in your area? What I really love about that island is that it is completely natural. No hotels. No condos. No houses. Just the waves, the birds, the sand and seashells, especially the gorgeous knobbed whelks you always find there. LOVE listening to the waves too.

I love your vidios you are so lucky to have each other and be able to grow old together. I lost my husband 7 years ago next month. My husband passed just 6 months short of our 40th anniversary. I still miss him so, I just moved to a new home and I want to decorate it in a coastal grandma style, your blue shells would look lovely in it. Always count your blessings all of our years together I never thought I would loose him at just 59 years old. God Bless

🤩 that’s the best place to go shelling that I’ve ever seen!! Thank you so much for picking up the trash the way you two always do. It’s so wild how they drill a hole … I was thinking the same thing about those being pre drilled for crafts! I don’t know what they are drilling with though? That’s baffling! @@SaltyReflections We are from Somerset County Pennsylvania. Actually the town I live in is where Flight 93 went down on 9/11/01. We were thinking either right in North Myrtle or Pawleys.

The hubby and I watch y’all. It got us up. We went to New Smyrna beach this weekend. It was so nice to put my toes in the sand and oven. Peace of mind. And lol I thought I was the only one left that uses the term all that jazz. ✨✌️🌴🌊

I wish I could put my feet in the sand. My sister and I loved the beach. But she gone now and I haven’t been able to go. Sometime I cry remembering the fun we had. And you never have to many shells. My favorite where sanddollars.

We try to walk in the sandy area along the shell line. But some areas are too thick with shells, it can be tough on the feet! 🦶

I am so thankful that I found your channel because the ocean is my calm and with my health I enjoy being able to walk the beach with you guys. We had our yearly trip last week but I was recovering from Covid so no shelling for me this time. Was so sad that I just couldn’t get the energy to walk more than 2 feet at a time. The ghost crabs love roaming the beaches at night. Our boys use to chase them years ago at night with flashlights

Hi Steph and Oliver! Your Videos just make my day. Love our SC barrier islands. Nothing like it. That beach reminds me so much of my favorite Botany Bay once you go past the boneyard. They rent campers on the beach at Myrtle beach travel park for $965 a month. Look at their website. It looks so cool!

When our sons were young, we would search for them at night on the beach with 🔦, their little eyes glow in the light & our boys would run to see them before they darted into a nearby crab 🕳! They loved it, like hide & seek with crabs! 😁 Sweet fun with the kidos! When we see them now, that's the "Salty Reflections" 💭🌊👣👦🧑🧒🏃🦀 we think of! 🤗🥰 Also a lot of rental homes all over the SC lowcountry coastline are available by the month during the winter, since it's the off-season.

We use fiddler crabs as bait & blue crab too, so ghost crab probably would work too. 🤔👻🦀 If the fish aren't too scared that is! 😉🤣

I would love to be a winner! I really enjoy watching your beach adventures. I live in Idaho and have never been to the east coast. I used to visit the Oregon coast a couple of times a year but only found a few sand dollars, if we were lucky. I would like you to include a whelk, an olive and a shell that has a drill hole, along with whatever else you are willing to part with. Thanks for sharing your videos and your shells. 👍
