Thanks! Sand Dollars are species of flat, burrowing sea urchins belonging to the order Clypeasteroida. I've looked them up. Pretty cool!

What a great collection of whelks!! I love the ones with the oysters on top. I keep the skeleton ones too. It’s so pretty to see the beautiful inside colors and swirls. Thanks 🐚🧜🏻‍♀️

You really did get a haul!!! Every time I see a knobbed whelk in a store I think of you guys. There must have been a storm or big front to have given you that much fun. Loved the crab on the sponge! Very cool fossilized jawbone. Loved this shelling series! Your favorite shelling Saltaholic.☺️

Thanks for coming along on our shelling adventure! 💙🐚 We haven't replaced our lost traps yet but plan to soon. Crabbing should start picking back up as the weather continues to warms up. 🦀 Can't wait! We do have some public oyster beds in our area but we've never harvested any.

Our common whelk shells can be worth a few bucks, but nothing like some shells! 🤑 Some rare shells are really worth some real money from what we've seen online & other videos! Thanks for watching! 💙🌊🐚

To find shells like we find you'd have to visit the barrier islands by boat but check out Hunting Island State Park. Beautiful beach!

You should definitely find out what year your coke bottle is from and let us know 😁 its pretty easy to determine since you have the whole bottle. KZread and Google

Think I'm gonna have to make a trip out your way at some point.

Thank you so much! Welcome! Yes, as you look through our videos we show what we do with a lot of our finds. Most of them go in a shell garden under the steps and deck of our house but all of our best finds are inside sitting around as display pieces. They all make great adventure stories when people come over. We have a ton of great finds!

Yes, there's plenty of beaches in SC that people can visit by car to find shells like these. Probably not going to find as many.

Do you dip some of those in muriatic acid? I think it would really bring out the colors in them.

We have not. I've talked about it MANY times, but STTIIILLLL haven't yet. 🤦🏼‍♀️I'm slack! 🤷🏼‍♀️😆 I have seen others do it & I know they would be even more gorgeous. 🤩 When we have "free time," we try to hit the boat or beach usually. I have shells I haven't even cleaned yet sometimes when we go out again looking for more! 😵‍💫🙃 I have a SHELL OF A PROBLEM‼️ 🤩😵‍💫😹 FR‼️ We do use mineral oil occasionally on ones we pick out of our collection (which is mostly outside) to display inside our home. It works really well too, brings out the colors & makes them a little shiny. I'm going to get the acid & do it one day though, & I'll be sure to take you guys along when I do❣️ Thanks for joining us!

We find them pretty randomly. We found the most after a hurricane a couple years ago. We haven't found many lately.

If you are referring to my favorite shell of them from this trip, I would have to say that huge shark eye shell! 💙🦈👁🐚😲 My most favorite shell from our collection is a huge 9 inch tulip shell Oliver found (check out the video, it was one of our first videos - with horrible cell phone quality video but the shell is AWESOME!) 😲🧡🌷🐚 Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 💙🐚🙏

This is a barrier island off the coast of the southern part of South Carolina. Unfortunately it is not accessible by car. Although Beaufort County does have many beautiful beaches to explore by way of car. Thanks for watching. 💙🐚
