See Patty's comment below. Hua Hua has been quite open in talking about his unhappy childhood. It wasn't this sort of story, but his father was cold, emotionally distant, and never praised or encouraged his talent or school work. His parents divorced when he was 3 or 4, and he lived with his father, so he mostly stayed in his room with his music. He took flute lessons at a young age, then asked to switch to piano. Like Dimash, he can play many instruments. You lose a lot by not seeing the live performance, but it is harder to watch, too. All the pain shows on his face. He wanted to bring more public attention to the problem. If you'd like to hear another selection that is more theater than singing, try "Fake Monk."

Hua Hua is a musical genius! I can't listen to this song unless I'm ready, then I need lighter songs to help me recover. It is too, too heartbreaking and beautifully done.

Domestic violence happened all over the world but still not enough done to prevent it happen and protect the victims. This song the son is appealing to the father for mercy and compassion.

It is a very impactful performance. You will get the full impact only by watching the performance. Sadly this particulalar performance will get blocked. The company of the original composer/or Jay Chou himself ( not sure) doesn't allow to show it anymore. That is why even the TV show had to delete it. This is an amazing rearrangement from HuaHua but the story has nothing to do with himself. It was a challenge song given to him by a contestant of the show the next and HuaHua has had 24 hours to rearrange the song, learn and perform it on stage. ( That is how this show works). There are lots of great performances from him from this show. All his TV Show performances have a higher risk to get blocked. Singer 2020 more likely than Singer 2018. The songs Flammable and explosive and I am what I am from Singer 2018 can be difficult too. His Mars concert performances are normally safe to react to. So for the songs from Singer 2020 you can react to his 2019 Mars concert performances for example or the MV for the song Bullfighting. Thank you for reacting to HuaHua.

Original video is no longer available unfortunately. Hua gave a riveting performance - he is another incredible singer, composer, musician and performer. He does nothing that’s not imbued with deep meaning and creativity. 🙏🏻🇦🇺

I recommend you seek out the live version without subtitles, so you can see the PERFORMANCE. The looks, the sneers, the anger, and delivery of that last line (which he added to Jay Chou's original Rap), are genuinely a masterclass in making even those of us with good childhoods feel what Domestic abuse does to children. Hua Hua didn't witness Domestic abuse, but he did suffer a form of mental abuse, being left in the care of nannies he feared. He created this performance in 24 hours. 😲 It is so sad that the original live video with English subtitles, now seems to have been taken down permanently. It is worthy of being used in a Campaign to highlight the impact of Domestic Abuse.

The original song is a rap song composed by Jay Chou that HuaHua was challenged to rearrange in 24 hour. HuaHua wanted to give more impact to the message of the song so he rearranged it in this way, the audience was so caught in it that there was a long silence at the end before they applauded. It's not HuaHua's story, he did grow up in a dysfonctional family but didn't experience domestic violence, it just shows how skilled an actor/musician he is. It's Jay Chou's company who had the video blocked worldwide. Please react to a lighter song next for a change, HuaHua just had a live performance at PEL Games where he sang two songs, Flying Conductor and Famous Scenes and that was fire, super awesome and at least it's recent for once! If you have Fake Monk on your list I recommend to wait a little while before you react to it. I recommend some lighter songs of HuaHua next like I don't care, Flying Conductor, New World, Black and White artist, IQ 250... 😊

Sadly it is blocked worldwide. Their is still a way to watch the performance but it will get blocked to 100 percent if someone try to upload it. That is why I personally don't recommend this performance to reactors. I find it sad they investing their time and than it get blocked 🙄. Also many reactors stop reacting to HuaHua after listening to Dad I am home and Fake Monk in a row because they think all he can do are moody/ sad songs. Which is so sad because it is just one side of him and he can do so much more. So I am also a little bit releaved that this performance of Dad... is difficult to find to be honest. 😅
